| Fingers crossed that reason wins through.
IA: Could the holding direction be down to getting the travel plan sorted with the HA? Mediating so to speak? Just a thought.

| Quote ="Inflatable_Armadillo"I will once again bet TRB's house it will come before Christmas and probably sooner!
Remember, the guide decision time frame is 28 days from receipt at the government office. There is a reason for this and that is of course causing a developer unnecessary delay if you then send it to PI. I very much doubt they will go over 56 days as that will have doubled the guided period for a decision.
As for releasing the decision just before Christmas Tricky2309, as there is nothing that can be done to change anything post decision, other than celebrate or spend Christmas preparing for a PI, the timing makes no difference. The only course of action anyone can take after this will be at the ballot box!
As TRB has said, we have been told that in the EXPERIENCE of many knowledgeable people a delay tends to be good news rather than bad and that is a genuine opinion, but as everyone knows, it is still a political decision and it might not be the new we are hoping for! This is not anyone edging their bets or trying to soften the blow for negative news, we are being told that it probably will be good news, but other than Eric Pickles and the people in his government office, know one knows anything! That includes June Fender and Andrew Booth and the NIMBY's.
I think it will come next week, but that is just a gut feeling and total guess!'"

| Could that be why item 13 "Rugby League" is marked restricted?
Could the WMDC already have the documentation back and are classing it as restricted to keep it out of the press and public domain until they can announce it on the 14th?
We all know how Boxy loves the show pieces & I have always said when it comes off he will be the one to take the credit publicly, this in his mind could be his "legacy to the people of Wakefield".
Chances are this is when we will get ratification on our land loan at Springfield Grove in Flanshaw. Along with Cas (if they've got it sorted yet- although it appears they are now selling their land not borrowing against it)

| There is a cabinet meeting on the 14th.
The agenda is published with item 13 being titled as "Rugby League" and the notes marked as "Restricted".
All very CCCP.

Maybe, but it's the developer who is affected by the decision first and foremost.
Yorkcourt may already know and are keeping stumm - after all, what's in a few days in the middle of winter? It's not as if they could begin clearing the land now anyway. However, I'd be a little surprised if this were left to the council to announce.

I must have missed something here. Explain how you can receive land as a loan against which to borrow and sell said land? It isn't their land, just like the land loan promised to us wouldn't be our land.

It's neither. For some reason best known to himself, Big Ali is on the prayer mat, facing East towards Mecca and Cas, and praying for 14th. Dunno what it's all about.

The 14th is nothing to do with planning applications. It's to do with the WMDC contribution to the projects, as per RW's blog here:

Little snippet of Ben Bailey still keen to take up the option on the site does this mean the jungle has been sold or being re negotiated and perhaps for a lower price hence the stalling and obvious shortfall of funds for the project at this time?

| i am lead to believe, by a cas supporter, that the original deal with the builders has not been followed through, due to land price devaluation.
im sure someone, probably fully, can either confirm or dismiss this.

But they will not pay the £7m or £8m that was mentioned a while back. Like all land its now worth only a fraction of what it was worth at the peak of the housing market when they agreed the option.

Fully serious question but has the outline planning permission time frame run out now for Cas so you will have to start the whole process again?

| Ben Bailey will not pay anything like the original and rather optimistic valuation of the Jungle. Which leaves Cas between a rock and a hard place as far as financing the project is concerned.
Even if the fat lad Knocks you back on your application for 12 months, I reckon that Cas will simply not be able to raise the amount that they will need to actually finish their project, and are orft to the co op championships.

The 3 year limit starts with the signing of the section 106 agreement that they only achieved in june this year, so they've two and a half years left to apply for FPP.

Or even start it!! They do seem to be dragging their heels a bit, given the timelines involved. It seems that if we can get a positive OPP decision back anytime soon we will leapfrog them in the race.
Personally, I have always said that I want both clubs to get their stadia sorted as I don't feel it should be either of us that goes to the wall to keep the RFL's crazy "expansion at any cost" idea afloat.

I think this is also the wish of most Wakefield fans and Rugby League fans in general, however I also think that this is not going to happen, no matter how much protestation.
It's common sense, and there is something of a shortage of that up red hall way!!

| Fully, again a serious question, I thought RW had said that Cas would submit a FP Aplication in mid November. We are now more than a week into December and apparently no news of the submitting of the FPA or explanation as to why there's a delay, has there been some news that we've missed?
