| It’s a good time for Chester to leave whilst at the top of his game being only 2 points off 6th and 4 points from the top. We may not get any closer for the rest of this season.

| Try thinking for yourself and not just attempting to impress Vastman, because if you do not see a problem then you really are “blind as those who cannot see or the most deluded of those who choose to ignore what they already know.
That’s classy not base like you tend to be, when you have no argument against how the team are playing and how we have played for too long.
I look forward to why you think we are not in a rut and everything will be rosey because like many I don’t think so. I hope you don’t say why don’t you go and support another team because I have read Vastman criticising Wakefield council when it would appear he does not live here.

| I thought I'd give him the benefit of doubt this season give him a fresh start but it's the same old problems so far. He has 8 games for me. 6 wins in 40 something is disgusting. I will still give him a few more. Wasn't happy with interview at the end where he said it's where we are at, at the moment. That is a shocking answer and wouldn't motivate anyone. 8 games then it is a taxi for me..

One I seriously doubt anyone tries to impress me, wind me up certainly.
Two, I very much do live in Wakefield however I seriously doubt a 15,000 leaflet drop will get as far out as me. Might do but I wouldn’t say it was a priority. Hope that helps.
Three, you only have one argument and that to trash the club at every attempt. Sure if we win or do something you like you’ll lace in some sugary words.
Finally, there maybe dozens of better people than MC and JM who could run the club I really don’t know. What I do know is that nobody has yet stepped forward and offered him that £1. Have you got a spare quid, you certainly. Seem to think you could do the job!
Frankly I can’t see many similarities between Ted and the current incumbents except one. They both offered to give the club to any one who wanted it and in both cases nobody took them up.
There was a time in Teds reign where the club was in decent shape as it is now yet that fabled white knight seems as far away as ever.
Final word from me to you is either put up or shut up, I’ll even give you that £1 to help you launch our recovery.

| You don’t need a £1 to launch our recovery just remove what many believe to be the problem. I would point out that if we carry on the way we are the club will lose all the gains we have made, which I admit off the field are many but sadly what sells tickets continues to fail.
I don’t remember mentioning MC other than his loyalty to Chester which is admirable but would you retain an employee who continues to fail his basic job description.
I know nothing is going to change so let’s all of us hope he improves on what the team produces starting this weekend.

| We all want to be part of a successful club and wouldn't it be brilliant to stroll down to BV knowing we are in with a good chance of a win. Its interesting that CC takes the vast majority of the flack while MC seems to escape any kind of criticism.
One thing we all have in common is we all want the best for the club, however frustrations are high and even the most ardent fans starting to have doubts and are asking questions
I'm not in the get Chester out campaign but the club and CC must come to an agreement, set some rules and targets.
Its to early to write this season off but the signs are looking good and once again we are talking about injuries, attitude, fitness, and lack of effort and pride in the club.
Like it or not the club from the outside seems to lack any kind of ambition and that's part of the clubs make up.
Vasty I only hope the news you have to be released sooner rather than later because Attracting new supporters will be virtually impossible and could result in the old faithful staying away.

He would never take up your offer because in doing so, he would deny himself the right to criticise the the club as is the usual case where he's concerned, thus also depriving himself of the undoubted pleasure he derives from his constant and often bitter attacks on the club management, the season ticket refund he gave up which he talks about at every opportunity wasn't really a gesture help the club out, it was simply used as an excuse to big himself up and used as a tool to yet again pour criticism on the club.

Out of interest what do you think that Wakefield trinity would be valued at. In reality you are buying the club for a pound but taking millions in debt

That's the point, only a fan would pay the £1, the club is currently worthless in a business sense. That said it's not millions in debt, far from it, unless you count a mortgage as debt. Technically it is but it's sensible debt, however, it is incapable of generating the turnover required to move the team forward as it currently stands. Catch 22.
What Trinity at present cannot do is create a worthwhile income stream, by that I mean one that can fund the best players and best coaching staff.
That's not an excuse it's just a fact. So when people gob off about the running of the club they really don't know what they are talking about.
This of course is a separate issue to coaching and performance other than the lack of resources it inevitably means the club possesses.

No but I'd give him more than two games. You see I accept that Jesus himself would have struggled to resurrect the injury-ravaged 2019 team. Whilst Covid treated our club more unfairly than most, or don't you agree? So two weeks to any fair-minded human being is ridiculously early to be sacking anyone.

But yet the other day you said after the 2nd half against Wigan that's the most disappointed you have been in over 30 years?!! I could give you a 100 games which were worse than that. The thing for me, and a lot of others' I have spoken to is, the relationship MC has with Chester. It's almost like he has a job for life no matter what, that can't be right, and it can't be healthy for any club. Loyalty is great in a lot of circumstances, but in other ways it's just misguided and given for the wrong reasons. I agree that obviously we are only 2 games in, and let's hope for everyone's sake we do see an upturn, but given the next 3 or 4 fixtures it's gonna take something pretty good just to have say won 1 from the first 6, including the cup. So it comes down to realistic expectations again doesn't it, i'm pretty sure we over achieved in 2017 &'18, and we are currently underachieving. Unless we have major injuries again, this squad should be looking at winning between 10 to 12 games at least this season, do you agree, and more importantly, do you think we will??

I’m a Chester supporter at the moment and I think he deserves the chance to turn things around.
I think he is a genuine quality bloke working under conditions some other SL coaches wouldn’t even entertain.
I don’t expect us to pick up a win before the KR game. I hope we do but I just don’t see where it is going to come from, however we all know we have picked up more than a few unlikely wins up over the years.
If we go into the KR game without a win and were to lose that game too, then I think it would be time for action.
I already think we are in a “mini league” within the league against the likes of Leigh, Hull KR and possibly Salford. I’m not saying we target these games as we can cause the odd upset but we need to be winning most of the games against those 3 teams, which I don’t think is unrealistic.

Depressing and worst are not the same thing. It was depressing because had the team just played sensible RL for 80 mins we could have won, that was all Wigan did. I'm not saying CC is the best coach ever, what I'm saying is that the standard of play in the last 30 minutes was down to the players and I'm fed up with the coach copping the flak, no coach sends a team out with that game plan.
I think it was Bibby's second try, all the team were over on the right for some unknown reason there was no defensive line at all, you don't need to be coached for that. If you watch it the only player who even gets near to Bibby is Lyne, the right centre!!! Where the hell was Bill and Batch! It was pathetic, yet there was no sign in the first half, the polar opposite in fact. No way is that what CC or Last or Poching coached then to do, it was 30 mins of defensive and attacking brain farts IMHO
So to answer your question, if the coaching staff can get the players to do basic RL for 80 mins with a touch of flair where needed and stop acting like dunderheads then yes we can. I'll add this if CC eventually goes and the team play proper RL for the new coach then IMHO there are some very dishonourable players in our squad,

Just rewatched the Bibby try and I think you have to credit Wigan for the build up to it and question our fitness more than ever by allowing them to execute it.
Wigan ran pretty much 6 tackles down own right winning contact, getting a quick play the ball and leaving Trinity players on the deck. They actually did well to repel it on the left as Wigan had a roll on but the damn broke on the 4th tackle where we ran out of bodies leaving a massive hole behind the ruck which Wigan made a half break through. This basically meant all our left players had to shuffle across to make up for the huge gaps that were opening up. Again I think we did well to repel the mini break meaning Wigan had to kick.
When they kicked the first kick Lynn was actually in the full back position as Rocky was round the ruck due to the mini break. We throw numbers at the ball carrier who gets a low risk high reward offload away.
Hardaker kicks the ball and our widest player on the left is actually Milky not Lynn who is still covering 1 but he runs his all to chase across behind the line to try make a challenge on a lost cause which is a credit to him.
It was very clever build up play from Wigan taking advantage of a team out on their feet which resulted in that space and the necessity for the edge to be so far in field.
If we could have slowed the PTB down I don’t think we end up in the same position with most of the team stood on our right jammed in between the touch line and the goal post. If we don’t jam on though I think they break is through the middle.
The way we lose contact in that set shows the difference between a team on the front foot and a team with little to no energy left in the tank.

It isn't usually a case of fitness. It's having to work harder than your opposition. Wigan managed the rucks better, got quicker play the balls and executed their last tackle plays. We didn't.
I didn't see players give up particularly, they just didn't have the energy left because of the work they'd already put in.
It's not like the players were coming off with clean shirts and having a laugh. It's simply a case of executing the plays when under pressure. Both in attack and defense.

Maybe someone should tell Chester this? He seemed to think there was an attitude problem with the players.

Not what Chester thought and me neither. You're entitled to your opinion but strange how it's always at odds with the obvious and usually wrong.
The wink means it's a bit of light-hearted joking by the way, just in case.

Sorry, don't buy that argument. Wigan just played RL, they are not a special team like Saints. They are no fitter than us, certainly not 30 minutes worth. It's mental, not physical.
If you're wanting to bull up Wigan as you usually do then I'd suggest that the 17 Wigan players are not, fitter, stronger or faster they are just better players as a group.
FWIW I'm probably frustrated because I gave Trinity the benefit over the last 18 month and believed we had a team of RL players, I'm now beginning to think I'm wrong. We simply do not have the quality I thought we had, or if we do it's being well hidden.
My lad who knows more than I and could play a bit, put it this way. At any one time, we only seem to have 4 players who are a threat. of which two are known (TJ and Fifita). Once the opposition works out the other two are its game over, as the rest won't step up and by step up, I don't mean running your blood to water, I could do that, any amateur player could do that!
No team ever plays with all 17 players on top form, to believe that you'd have to be stupid. However, we need more than 4 or even 6 if I'm being generous. That is what I believe CC meant by 'passengers'.

| Quote ="jonh"I’m a Chester supporter at the moment and I think he deserves the chance to turn things around.
I’m not saying we target these games as we can cause the odd upset but we need to be winning most of the games against those 3 teams, which I don’t think is unrealistic.'" just about sums up the loser mentality of we win the odd game and it’s let’s give him a new deal. A mentality that always accepts 2nd best accepts mediocrity and accepts no ambition to build a side.

In the same vein as Scarlett owning the club, why not apply for the job of Head Coach as you both clearly know what's best. Just a thought.

I don’t think we can expect anything more with this squad.
I didn’t be for the season started and I don’t now.
We are lacking the quality of most other sides it’s that simple really.

I totally disagree, well I did until last Thursday. Still think you're wrong deep down but I have to admit it's very deep down.
Don't recall you saying that pre-season by the way but I'll give you the benefit.
