The council are to 'present solutions ' to the stadium issue to the community trust in the next fortnight...apparently

Which Community Trust would that be? Ours or theirs?

Well living overseas this is probably easy for me to say. I would suggest that attendance at this weeks council meeting is a must and ensure relevant matters are brought up by the local Councillors, I am pretty certain if the public gallery is full they will be under some pressure whether they like it or not and regardless of who they are affiliated to. Not due back in the UK until the end of the month or would have made one in.

A lot of people thought that to share somewhere half way would be an amicable agreement, like the Milan football stadium.

Don't forget... That there are some local elections coming down the track.so Box needs to make it look like him and those other noddys that are running the show are doing something about it!

A bit off topic, but just to show how very lax our beloved council Planning Dept are at enforcing their own planning laws that some years ago they ordered the owners of the Grade11 "listed" Wakefield Arms public house adjacent Kirkgate railway station to improve the state of the building. It is now April 2017 and absolutely nothing has been done. What a welcoming site it is to visitors to the city. If I'm not mistaken ythe same applied to the Regal cinema too. So how much chance of enforcing the Newmarket development. Good old WMDC!!!

I would add to the above post that their orders were enforced under the backing of The Town & Country Planning Act (1990) so a legal requirement.
