Agree,the club should be a bit more ruthless in the business side of his departure.

Unless, as has been suggested elsewhere, the club didn't deliver on the terms of his contract; that would weaken our ability to be 'ruthless' quite considerably.

It's much more to do with sending Tronc "home" with a positive message about how the club dealt with his family predicament.

Imagine how hard we would find it to recruit future high profile imports if we had failed to be supportive of him through this.

My point was about the image the club present of themselves - this is their only concern here and the only element of the whole thing they can control positively.

The image Tronc has built for himself is his issue. I'm sure you aren't the only person with a rather negative opinion of him, though I doubt he is bothered by that.

The bottom line is that the Wildcats have been seen to do all they can to support an overseas player with problems. It can't hurt in the clubs future efforts to sign players from Oz.

I thought that was just a rumour that came from one person,but even so if it was a housing problem or what ever you would think it would be fairly easy to sort out especially if it was part of the contract in the first place.

As much as I can see both viewpoints, I tend to side with this one. Homesick missus or not, he'll walk into the Brisbane squad and we'll watch him on the telly, grumbling.

What were you expecting him to do divorce his wife just to stay and play in superleague! what ever line of empolyment your in,your family life will always come first!,think about it for a second here Brisbane probably the biggest club in Rugby League want him! he can go back home were his family are from and start to enjoy his family life again and start to enjoy his rugby again!
By the sound of things on here most of you would be happy for him to stay take clubs money and just go through the motions just like a certain Darrell Griffin did! and look at the reaction he got and how most of you think about him.

From what I've read I think most people would have been happy to drop Tronc soon as this situation started especially when it was obvious he had the sulk on.I think most people take his reason for wanting to return home with a pinch of salt and very convenient as do I.
What i can't understand about him is if it was me and I had a few games left i would of given the club the best performances i could before i left as a thank you and a sort of sorry,but maybe that's just me.

I don't blame him for going but its sad he can't "put it in" before he goes and that leaves a bad taste, but if your not with us then go.
