All our own and all playing first team at some point this season, the future looks bright if we can keep hold of all this

Wembley weekend means I can enjoy a game of Rugby between two well drilled, skilful and committed teams.

And Bake off starts on Wednesday.

Reserve judgement though; I gather that they've been inspired by the most dynamic, forward thinking sports administrator in the country, who also likes cake, and have implemented a new judging structure, which will avoid dead rubbers and ensure that every carefully timed minute matters. After the initial rounds, the top 8 bakers will go into a Super 8 competition, where their Star Baker tally will be wiped clean, and they'll compete in a play-off system to see who wins.

Meanwhile, the middle 8 will be allowed to spend a load of money on new mixers and spoons, and will fight for a place in the top tier.

No worse than the seasoned pro's, tackled ok , run it in OK but took a big hit in the 2nd half and came off, one for the not too distant future.

Our first try came off his strong run if I remember correct.

You also seem to have forgotten the part where certain bakers will be heavily penalised for using their spoon with the wrong hand, whilst others will be lauded for their dexterity.

Last season we were in a simalar position to you, scrapped in the 8 and then had a load of injuries, we lost 6/7 games, played some good rugby and have valuable time to young and squad players.

It also will give the coaching staff chance to plan and recruit without any worries or pressures. We have certainly gone better than anyone expected, I thought we would finished 5th/6th and challenge the top 4, which I think is your challenge next season.

There are lots of worst situations to be in, need to back the club and Carter and really help help the club kick on.

The thing is we haven't played good rugby. At all. In fact, it starting to feel like 2015, getting whooped week after week with lack of fight.

Can't believe you think we haven't played any good rugby....up to the team being decimated by injuries we were going great imo. The wins over Hudds , league and cup, Warrington , Catalans x2 , Leeds etc plus the near misses it's been a fantastic season with some fantastic rugby.

Plus 62-0 against wigan and then going to there place and getting pipped in the last minute

I have pointed your example out to some moaners and though you operate on 2-3 times the crowds and bigger budget etc we should be looking at how you built on last season. We've had a great year and some cracking youngsters coming through, I'm right behind MC and the boys.

Hope Hull go on to win the lot this year, had a cracking time with some of your lot at the Test match at your place last year. Will be cheering you on in the Challenge Cup final from Reighton Sands and I'm sure there'll be a few FC on hand to help

Granted I haven't seen you play in the 8's yet, but your rugby before was good. It certainly cannot be a full comparison to Hull as we are better resourced, but I still think you are better for being in the 8's as you can prepare for next year, for example Rovers can't even babe their coach until they are confirmed back in SL.

At the start of the season all I wanted was to have a team that could beat the others if they were down on numbers or off form. I got sick last year of poor teams coming to belle Vue and hammering us even if they were playing rubbish.
This year has been brilliant as we have taken advantage of most teams who were not at their best. It's been entertaining, exciting and best of all we are not in the middle 8s.
I know it's frustrating now but we've already had the best season we could have hoped for so I can forgive the poor form now.

Huddersfield might get relegated.
