Doubt Wakefield will be out of lockdown, the tier system is been strengthened re what's allowed and what isn't, and looks like we will be in tier 2 (/hopefully) or more probably tier 3.which is more or less a form of lockdown
We'll know on Thursday this week as the government will be announcing what tiers individual local authorities are in, and its not looking good at the moment for Wakefield.
It could be March 2021 before we are cleared to play in front of crowds.

Are they now taking an approach of looking at it at local authority level? Before they were grouping by county wasn't they? Just looking at the latest data set on Wakefield and although slightly delayed it shows 25% downfall in cases, although this is to be expected with the national lockdown we are streets ahead of the likes of Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford in terms of %.

| From BBC sport today
The 2021 Super League season will start on 11 March with the Grand Final set to return to Old Trafford on 9 October.
Magic Weekend will also return to Newcastle's St James' Park across the weekend of 29-30 May.
Clubs will play 13 home matches in a 27-game regular season, including the Magic Weekend, with the full fixture list released in January.
The later season start will also result in a repeat of the six-team play-off format used in the delayed 2020 season.
An early October Grand Final is also planned because of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England, which is scheduled to start on 23 October when England men face Samoa at St James' Park.
With the ongoing uncertainty around Covid-19, a later start date gives us a better chance of playing more games in front of fans in 2021," said Super League executive chairman Robert Elstone.

No mention of promotion/relegation, I wonder if this will remain the same?

Depends if Bradford get the 12th spot, so yes, I think there’s a good chance of no promotion or relegation at the end of 2021 season, despite the statement from Elstone.

Wonder why we are sticking with the 6 club play off format.
Assuming that all of the regular season games are completed, why reward the clubs finishing 5th and 6th ?
Mind you, if all of our stars aligned, we should certainly be trying to make 6th (or better ).

Probably payback for when Liverpool played that Spanish team, immediately before lockdown. It’s believed that one game caused thousands of infections when both Liverpool and Spanish fans mixed that night. Government was at fault for allowing that game to be played.

I saw a report that quashed that fake news. It compared the number of Brits returning from Spanish holidays during that period to the relatively small number of Spanish footy fans for the scouse gits game. There was a massive massive disparity.
Wasn't the Cheltenham Festival also held responsible for millions of deaths?

The sport of kings. Isn’t that treason what you’ve just suggested. Beware of the knock on the door. Anyway, can we believe anything the government, MSM, say these days?. I certainly don’t what to believe re Covid, just totally weed off with today’s events. Where’s Miro.

| Just heard on the news, Furlough scheme is now extended until end of April next year. That’s a pretty good indication that lockdowns will continue in some form until then. I guess sports crowds won’t be anywhere near normal until after April. I hope the SL and RFL are able to sort out a streaming service for the matches not on Sky. Free for season ticket holders home games, and a pay to view for away games and ppv for neutral supporters, Perhaps small crowds will be allowed, if so, the get your season tickets ordered, as I believe they’ll get first choice.

Not sure about that, depends on how vaccinations go, we shouldn’t confuse xmas being effectively over and where we will be end of Feb.
