Great in number but, a bit quiet in general.
I cant remember such a low key Cas - Wakey game for ages.
Both sets of fans were pretty quiet, considering and although the game
seemed to be over at half time (only for Cas to play a good opening 20 mins in the second half)
The fans seemed a little subdued.

It twas bloomin cold tho.... brrrrrrrrr

I didn't go last night for several reasons.

I did go to the club shop this morning and purchased a new hoodie with the money i saved, i'd rather fund my own club and thats probably how i'll see out this season.

I also got flogged a Leeds game programme and well done to the girls in the shop for getting me to buy something i don't really want

I suppose it helps cover the cost of printing, so it all helps.

There were plenty of Trin fans there, it's just that, for a derby game, they were very quiet.

how can you say your support was great there was more drunks at that game looking for trouble than I ever seen at Cas match and got it. in every pub there was trouble outside Bootroom yes Cas fans was involved as well both as bad but there was trouble in Lamplighter fighting amongst yourself in there in early bath there was bits of trouble. This fixture needs changing only time there is any trouble by both club is this fixture.

Concerning drunken fans etc who are going to the game looking for trouble, I agree that the fixture should be moved to a noon ko and although this wouldn't stop folk having a drink, it would reduce the number who overstep the line.
Both clubs need to work hard to ensure the fixture is not "lost" to a few drunken idiots who were spoiling for a scrap.
No place for that behaviour in RL.

Have you been walking around with your eyes closed over the last few years, Cas fans on a number of times have been waiting at the bath pub to throw bottles at away fans.. my family who are born and bred Cas fans have stopped going to watch Cas because of idiots who call them selfs Cas ultras, who are out to cause trouble and will not attend until the club starts stamping out this..
A few clubs fans have seen this, my message too them is record who they are and send it to the RFL, IT IS NOT needed in rugby league and that goes for all fans at every club, and I see no mention of throwing bottles on the pitch, racist chanting, chucking coffee on players, and blaming every one for the clubs down fall (REF/RLF/RICHARD WRIGHT/JACK FULTON/MILWARD/PLAYERS EXCEPT foul abusive and trouble causing idiots that call them selfs Cas fans...

I completely agree with what you are saying and agree one club cannot point the finger at another as all have idiots.
Three of our fans were goading Jake Emmit(?) all were holding beer (so its easy to point the finger at drunkenness) and should that player have taken ill I know where my money would have been!!
I can't claim to know the answer to this problem, I like a beer or five and I wouldn't like to stop beer sales at grounds as they are part of the game and a good revenue stream.
But some people (and I may have been one of them in my youth) need saving from themselves.
Maybe earlier kick offs and supporters going back home sober may have to be an option if problems persist and tgat would be a shame.
That said as far as behaviour was conserned our fans didn't bottle the pitch!!

do think it is time to change the time of this kick off, good friday when everyone can go out at 12 and kick off 8 hours away to me is asking for trouble , it caused trouble last year and has this time to make at least afternoon kick off , cut the drink time sad state of affairs i think

Traditionally the Wakefield area work Good Fridays and have the Tuesday off I don't know if it was to do with the pits or mills and obviously times and occupations have changed but always thought that's why we play Good Friday nights. As for trouble there's always a few from both sides looking for trouble and that pub is a flash point on the way out and should have police outside it

As we passed the early bath on the supporters bus with kids and elderly folk ,the gestures from grown men towards us was unbelievable .All stood outside for one reason and one reason only,to entice trouble.I can assure you that they weren't all smokers.

That is not acceptable! I didn't actually notice the gestures as I was facing the other way whilst I had my bare ar5e up against the window.

Where I was stood behind the sticks the fans were loud and sang most of the night. Our away support would be so much better and louder if 70% of the fans didnt just stand there like statues like they're scared of singing.

I went out most of the day with lads to watch the day games, only trouble I saw was after the game with the Cas fans, we were in most of there pubs singing but was just friendly banter before the game. Some fans just took it too far at the end as pride and passion comes into play, nothing worse than been destroyed on home soil than your local rival.

Maybe the 70% would prefer it if the minority joined a choral society where singing is expected by all it's participants?
Personally I'm not bothered for singing since my failed x-factor audition (some of the things Cowell said were very hurtful).
Maybe when you become king of the world you can make it compulsory until then people can enjoy the game how they chose without the vilification of a minority of Justin Timberlake wannabes!!
IMO the atmosphere was fine, but up to press neither clubs had a great deal to shout about and until Cas started to make a game of it in the second half it was almost a foregone conclusion.
FWIW I don't mind you singing as long as you don't mind me happily watching intently.

For me, fans can support the lads how they please as long as we don't go down the chucking stuff on the field then scrapping path. Always better with a bit of an atmosphere. The home stands at WR were like a morgue!

I thought we turned out in great numbers for the derby. The atmosphere was a little flat but that can be attributed to the cold. Hopefully it might be a little warmer tomorrow and we can again pick up an invaluable 2 points
