ground work was scheduled to be started today Has anybody drove past and seen any work going on ?

Not been passed but don't expect too much too soon and we have a game this weekend.

Been at BV tonight,nothing started yet.

Surely they can close the area where the work is being undertaken ? Only open parts of the ground ala the Sheffield game ?

Yep and i reckon they will, depending on what part of the ground they start on first.

It'll look like a building site, is that better or worse

AG just tweeted that new shop started today, Western Terrace starts tomorrow.

Do we know where the new shop is going to be? and that means the west terrace is closed on sunday.

Moved into the ground somewhere al. Not sure where though

Was down tonight. Looks to me like they have put a partition straight down the middle of the first bar to the right in cats. They have also cut a new door into the outside wall to lead into this new room. I'm guessing this will be the shop.

Correct - I was there today and the works are well underway; that bar will be chopped in half to create a multi-use function room on one side and the new shop on t'other.

Much to some folks disappointment, AG is doing exactly what he said he would do.

No - that work hasn't started yet, so there'll be very little progress, if any.

Next monday. Maybe.

Nope - this Monday was the new bar and shop.

The foundations for the North Stand were suposed to go in this week, but a problem with the building regulations put paid to that. Has to be left til after the Cas game now.

Apparently still waiting for final costs to come through before work can start. It seems a bit strange this wasn't all finalised sometime ago.

Strange. But didnt glover say on twitter a month or so ago that they'd had a price back for the seating area infront of the benidorm flats and it was too expensive, which is why they scrapped that idea....which would suggest they have already enquired about costs?

Can't wait for the season to kick off. I deliberately dont go to friendlies so te 1st game of the season is something to really look forward to... apart from geting to Widnes on a Friday night. Fingers crossed the guys comethrough the Batley game with no bumps and bruises and we can go into the season opener in annihilation mode
