Big game this for both sides. How do you think you will line up? I thought you would have closed the game out better against St Helens, but not to be.

Ourselves, we have Ellis, Talanoa, Tuimavave coming back this week I beleive, as well as Watts who rightfully hasn't picked up a ban and we are pretty close to a full strength squad.

We will be very close to the side that played Saints, cant see too many changes, unless we have some fresh injuries.
Should be a great game and we will have a decent following, considering it's on a Thursday night and on Sky.

Randell & Wood at 9 is a combination I'm looking forward to seeing! Hull are a champion side and to go there and beat a near full strength side who need to win would be one of the best wins for a long time!

Part of me thinks we'll struggle after what was a heart breaking defeat against Saints and the lads will take some real picking up...part of me though feels this group of players just doesn't know when they're beat and wouldn't be surprised to see us go there and win!

I'm hoping the effort Hull had to put in against Wigan (a phenomenal effort) might just give us a squeak, with the extra rest day too. If our big men can match them up the middle then Randell and Wood could cause their big men in the middle a fair amount of problems!

Hope it's another cracker! Seen half a dozen quality games this weekend, now were down to the business end and games have that bit more meaning!

I was just saying to a friend last Thursday that I'd be excited to see a mid-match rotation between Randell and Wood, with maybe Wood starting hooker. Both are creative hookers who can make openings from half chances.

Randell showed a bit of the uncompromising defence he's renowned for last week; that shot on Makinson was an absolute bellringer. The lad looks like an old-fashioned hooker to me, with many of the attributes of a Roby or a Houghton - promising stuff.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Randell and Wood on together tomorrow. Randell to loose especially if we're behind

Yes, Chris Green is the only one missing that would play if fit. Although there will be doubts over a couple of them I reckon. Talanoa and Carlos didn't make it last week and Minichiello has been carrying a knock.

Still no excuses for us with that squad. Whoever loses this I reckon their race is run. Id be gutted to lose, but if we do there isn't really another side that I would rather see take our place. Your boys have done you proud this year whatever and it's been great to see after some of the dross you've had to put up with in recent times.

Unfortunately, too many silly errors, and yet again switching off at vital times.

When will they learn from previous mistakes.

Last week the scapegoat for some was Grix, maybe this week Finny.

The drop goal miss was pressure, but about 4 missed tackles, one of which led to a try at a vital time.

There is talking of new signings, it is silly season with rumours, I just hope one is of a scrum half

Not that I'm bitter. It was a great game and I'm proud of the boys. But I'm bemused by the decision given in the build up to Ellis' try.

Kirmond was remonstrating with the ref too.

The players who prevent Ben Jones Bishop from diving on the ball (which he could have simply done if not for the there presence) are offside when it's kicked.

As soon as Ben Jones Bishop touches that ball (trying to trap it with his foot which is surely legitimate) they should not interfere with play. If he caught the ball cleanly, they couldn't tackle him. So how if he touches it with his feet are they allowed to get involved?

I'm happy for someone to come up something to explain, but I thought it was the wrong decision and Wakefield should have been given a penalty.

As I say not bitter but could have been a different game.

But if travelled ten yards after BJB played at it, don't they become onside?

The real error is that it wasn't a knock on and Hull in fact did knock it on.

Should have actually been head and feed to Wakefield in the resulting scrum as BJB didn't knock on while trying to regather it.

Not forgetting the out and out knock on by Kelly when they got the ball back before their first try.

Great effort and commitment tonight, totally gutted.

Touch judge calling a late tackle when clearly wasn't. I can't understand why he didn't use the video ref as foul play can be looked at and would have cleared Arona

The boys once again played their hearts out but boy do I get sick of being able to predict what is going to happen.

Taking 2 10 metres out when Hull are on the run and down to 12? That is the symptom of the mentality the last 2 games. Just lack that ruthless edge at key moments. Hull didn't even have to play well for more than half a game, let's be fair. Second half we were never in it and they were nowhere near 100% first half. Soon as they upped the intensity we couldn't get out of our half.

Badly trying not to be negative but so disappointed that we lose in that manner two weeks running. (Short term context). We've still had a good season but ultimately we don't have a chance of winning anything aside from a miracle.

Regardless, BJB didnt knock on and then Taylor does so it's Wakefield's feed. Ref was garbage. The late tackle call was crap as well and Fifita was blatantly dragged in touch which isn't allowed. Also, apparently Hull FC were perfect in the ruck all game as I don't think Bentham penalised them for any interference as far as I'm aware.

Have just been told by someone else that BJB didn't knock on aswell. So does make my point irrelevant to an extent.

It's hard not to look back at the questionable decisions during a game and not think what if. However, what's done is done. Still proud as they come of the lads.

If it didn't, you'd need a slide rule to work it out.

The ref made an instant call and got it wrong. As did BJB in not trapping it properly. As did someone else later on in defence. And so it goes.

I thought the no advantage to Wakey was a crucial call , it was when the Hull forward lost the ball & MCB picked it up, he was away until the ref pulled him back and gave the scrum to us. He could have let play carry on and if necessary gone to the screen afterwards, instead of stopping play straight away.
