|
I can see a logic behind this and so far been very impressed with our signing strategy over last 18 months, I suspect that he wasn’t going to get any first team rugby this season and probably very little following year. So perhaps he wanted away as his contract expires at end of season he could have left any way. We have 2 top young centres in Scott and Pratt , a very experienced full back in jowit , with Rourke hall and Croft as back up. On the wings we are a bit thin especially as Russel is coming to end of his career. Is the kid from hull kr a great prospect - no idea as I’ve never seen him play I suspect mills Powell etc have seen a fair bit of him so I’ll cede to their knowledge
We have[/quote:3h2fn1zf]
Exactly and you can add Myers as another centre option too. Roarke also. We still have 6 options.
Even wing we have TJ, Walmsley, Russell and Delaney. Though with this signing I’m not sure where that leaves Delaney who has been in first team a few years but hasn’t appeared to break through.
As for Booth, him signing for Trinity has improved him as a player no doubt. He has potential to be a good quality full back, centre or utility man. Not sure about the x-factor as I think it’s going too far at the moment but he has pace and certainly potential. I completely get that if he’s leaving in 2026 and we have an option of bringing in another young lad with potential it’s not necessarily a bad move.

|
Why don't you believe our club has faith in the new signing?
It's not like we were forced to sign him?
I'm certain he's not going straight in the first team but they must see something[/quote:28a7t30a]
I guess time will tell but I will be surprised if he is with us next season which is just my opinion.

| With us only offering him a 1 year contract, and the likes of Pratt, Lingard amd smith 3/4 years I think that tells you where Powell and Mills sees Booth. For me that’s for him to fire on and show what he’s got as Pratt and co have shown that in bucket fulls.
KR have seen something in him and slapped a 4 year deal on him. Time will tell if he will turn into a good /quality regular SL player. I’m pretty sure if Powell saw the same he’d of got a long term deal.

|
I guess what changed was that KR wanted him early and proposed the swap deal.[/quote:3bfe9htw]
I believe HKR are honouring the season long loan at Hunslet for Booth

|
Neil Tchamambe is out of contract at the end of this year so although he is on loan to Trinity he will not be retuning to Hull KR. Don't know too much about Noah Booth but Rovers obviously rate him to give a 4 year deal.
Tchamambe has been disappointing for Rovers. When you look at his physique you think he looks the part but he doesn't run with any conviction and you end up shouting at him to give it a bit more. He has never come close to making the first team and when Lee Kershaw was signed as a back up to wingers Tom Davies and Joe Burgess it was obvious the writing was on the wall for Tchamambe.
I'll be surprised if Neil Tchamambe makes the grade at Trinity or any other Super League club.[/quote:vaft2jkm]
Isn't this a summary of Hull KR's academy as a whole. Still only Lewis in the expected starting 17 for 2025 and he came through the joint City of Hull academy back in 2019. Rovers failed to get one of the original 10 Elite licences due to poor performance. Subsequently given a probationary one but they still show no signs of changing the policy of buying in ready made guys rather than bringing through their own. Tchamambe is one of many young lads treading water and wasting their time at HKR.

Ah OK. You phrased it like you were basing it on something.
