no specifics really jim, a mixed bag I guess, I think photo with freddie is a good one,not sure of cost but half to club and half to sue Ryder, pop the picture in a nice wallet with a paw print on, kids would love it! We have a printing firm on board I think, could they make em? On the pitch, bouncy castle? Brass band, those before were very good, I know it's all been done before but it was good .

Are we getting another new kit?
We need a big sponsor.

| More local ale in the bar.
We've some fantastic breweries round here but we only seem to occasionally have the odd one as a guest beer.
Couldn't we strike some sort of deal with one of them? Maybe along the lines of free ad hoardings or a shirt sleeve in exchange for discounted ale.
I know I'd be prepared to pay a little bit more for a top quality pint.

I much prefer the sentiment of donating the main sponsor space on the shirt to Sue Ryder personally.
Hopefully we can get some new fans. Well, I would like to see more people showing an interest in our team. It would be good if we could get consistent crowds of 1,000+ next season.

| With reference to getting a big sponsor do not forget we have Ling Telecom on board and I believe the chap called Gary is also now a director.
In addition the club has recently got a couple of local businesses to sponsor and to be honest if you look at clubs like Oldham and York as examples where there has been just one person putting money in the clubs Cougars methods may be more beneficial as time goes on.

I don't mean a benefactor, I mean a sponsor (or 2 or 3 even).
We'll need to really recruit quality to stay up.

| Timmy Taylor's getting involved would be good. Not just from the view of a good pint, but a well known local business getting behind the team.

| Quite a while ago I wrote to a local "well known" brewer asking if they would like to get involved with the AMATEUR inter town team.
We were prepared to offer them names on all the shirts for a very modest cost to cover transport to 2 away games.
Suffice to say the response was not that positive and it basically said they were not interested in the game.
We covered our costs because of funds built up through the local cup final etc, plus the generosity of the Cougars in letting us use Cougar Park, and charge a modest admission fee.
The club made a few bob at the bar and we made a few bob to cover travel costs.
To be fair it quite a while ago and situations change.
It seems to me that there are obvious benefits to both parties.

| Sorry to say this, but TT got more advertising from, Madonna saying she liked the beer than they would ever get from us.
They are not interested, so its time for people to move along, nothing to see here.

Just talked to Mandy about this last night after your post ....
The major problem in keeping too many ales 'on' is the amount of 'shelf life ' in a cask of real ale as opposed to the fizzy processed stuff.
With the Cougar Park Bars being used (apart from matches) mainly for private functions, if there is little else taking place it is not always financialy and also from a quality perspective, viable to keep the real stuff on .
With the hopeful increase in travelling support coming to Cougar Park next year ..this may change ..the other thing of course Stealth Comic is to persuade everyone to change their drinking habits over to the real stuff...
mines a half of Copper Dragons Golden Pippen if you're buying !

Fair do's, I see your point, but couldn't you put say Golden Pippen and Naylor's Cravenbrau on instead of Tetley's and Carlsberg?
Or do you have a contract with them?

| There are always 9 gallon barrels available which could be 'tapped' and drawn straight from the barrel - you don't need pumps. Colin Farrar sells the plastic taps and all that would be needed is something to hold the barrel behind the bar. Surely 72 pints isn't all that much to sell on a match day and then a different brew could be sold at each home game.
