I see Leigh are relegated sadly even though they finished 3rd from bottom above Doncaster and Toulouse, yet again the foreign teams get preferential treatment.

Expansion is ok if done correctly and all teams are treated the same.

The rules should be based on their exemption any team promoted should have 3 years to develop as everyone knows the step up is quite big.

Been on the Leigh site and their fans are not happy, and why should they be. I would have said the same had it been Batley or Gateshead who got relegated. All three teams finished on 32, just 4 points off the playoffs.

Leigh will walk this league next season under Millward and Robbie Paul,it will be like Dewsbury all over again,lets hope were not around to see it.

Leigh like all the other teams have no reason to moan.

They knew about this at the start of the season. If they had been good enough over the season they wouldn't have been at the bottom end of the league.

I agree with Guess Who all clubs agreed to the Toulouse deal I assume on the basis it was a case it wont happen to us syndrome.

What concerns me is how easy clubs outside super league bend over at the whim of the rfl. Hope lessons will be learned but sadly I think not.

They knew about it from the start of the season but that doesn't make it right.

Toulouse have stayed up because of no other reason but because they are French, which is just plain wrong.

Remember Cougars were denied a place in Super League because the RFL in their infinate wisdom wanted a London team there.

I have every sympathy with Leigh for the situation they have ended in.

You cannot compare what has happened to Leigh and us.

We were robbed. No other way of saying it.

The rules for this season were in place before a ball was kicked.

We got shafted with about 4 weeks to go because some cash got waived about.

You guys did get shafted big style by the RFL.......... didnt surprise me TBH as they dont care about anyone at all....... as long as they get what they want.

Same happened to Dewsbury after they beat us in the 2000 Grand Final.

The London thing was for teams in SL to worry about.

Do not feel too sorry for Leigh I have read in a rugy magazine today they are meeting with the rfl to get special dispensation on the salary cap.

The reasoning being the salary cap in the championship and championship 1 is from next season £150,000 which includes elements of money to be used on players and also facilities.

What Leigh are saying is the new ground has all facilities and therefore want to use that element towards players contracts.

I hope the rfl knock this back as this sets a precedent in that all clubs with new or modern grounds or those that share soccer grounds could in theory use this argument.

Leigh KNEW they were going to be relegated at around 4.40pm on the 6th September 2009, so your right it cant be compared as Keighley obviously had more time than Leigh did on your way of looking at it (with a few facts thrown in of course).

Times and circumstances are different, Im not saying Leigh did not deserve to be relegated as we knew the rules but your statement is completely wrong, in saying we had all season to PREPARE for it.

Leigh had since February to stop it happening.
So they did have a lot more time than us to prepare for it.
