Keighley Cougars RLFC have re-signed seven players from their existing playing staff for next season.

Stand off Jon Presley, scrum half Danny Jones, prop forwards Andy Shickell and Scott Law, back row forward Oliver Pursglove, winger Gavin Duffy and utility forward Jamaine Wray have all signed contracts that will keep them at Cougar Park until the end of the 2010 season.

This latest batch of players has followed the example of club captain James Feather, who signed a new deal last week.

Cougars Head Coach Barry Eaton said: “It’s a significant moment for the team and the club in that we have been able to secure these key players for next season.

“I’m expecting to talk to more players in the next few days. There’s no list of priorities and I’m simply meeting each player as I get an opportunity to talk to them.

“I’m delighted that we have been able to reach agreement with these players because I believe that we’re building a Cougars team not only for the present but also for the future”.
