Apart from the worth way partial closure is it me but there seems a number of roadwords etc springing up.

The worst thing which I find odd is new road markings a bottom of Park Lane which has in effect change the right of way.

I cannot see the benefit of this particular one.

Its to give priority to traffic following the diversion through town.Instead of creating another hold up.

There are 3 problems to the traffic chaos in Keighley.

1) The morons, throwbacks, walkoffs, dingbats, fools,clueless, 4 x 4 airheads, taxi drivers, HGV drivers who actually THINK they can drive!

2) The computer simulation traffic planners who have as as much of an idea of traffic problems as the Cougar cubs under 7's have a chance of winning the World club Challenge.

3) Bradford/Keighley council who are scared witless of actually making a decision!!

otherwise the traffic situation is fine.

Cougar Cubs don't have an under sevens.

I think to many undesirable people are allowed to own a car.

In the good old days, they used to walk everywhere.

That makes the situation even worse

It's very rare I drive into the town centre usually for the reasons given.

Who on earth decided that the best time to resurface principal routes through Keighley at the same time as closing Worth Way was in any way clever?
Why on earth would anyone think that stopping parking on East Parade was advantageous to the town?
It would kill several small businesses including the best Chinese / Thai takeaway in the area.
Keighley is noted for its diversity, yet the celebration of diversity appears to be Asda...
A properly constructed one way system would enhance our town, and using natural landscape features, just take a look at some others across the country.

Its a joke. Their excuse for doing the work will be something like we do the work now because there is less traffic on the road because its the school holidays.

Then we say wrong, because the cars that would doing the school run are doing day trips to keep the kids happy.

Silsden last sunday was fun. Apart from the work down Keighley Road, they decided to resurface the top of skipton road, which isnt a major road, but while the other work is going on, some people, me included have been using it as a diversion instead of queing down kirkgate for 20mins. So anyone wanting to go to Keighley from silsden would have been stuffed.

No matter they do it would cause a built up of traffic. Surly even you can work that one out.

Everyone just needs to chill.

Aye, roadworks...they need to be done, but don't half cause a few headaches. I've been diverting up and around Skipton road as well, not sure of the sense, or consideration, of doing works there at the same time as the main road!

They must have had a re-think prior to doing the work. Originally they were due to resurface Skipton Road midweek!. What 'fun' that would caused.
