If you win 7-0 at the weekend, we win 1-0, you'll be top on goals scored. This joint top 5hite will quickly disappear and you'll be first and we'll be second.

| how can you say you cant believe your 2nd when you played so badly?? All the current top 4 have played badly upto this year if you saying that. We all dropped points were we shouldnt thinks its a testemant too the other teams in the league who have improved. There are no easy games now in the premiership. Think its going to be tight all the way through think all the current top 4 will be tight all the way too the last day and i think it may come down to the last week with any 3 of the teams going for the title. Also with Spurs playing some good football and Liverpool starting too pick points up and Bolton if they can keep it going its building up too be a very good season. Cibaman what you think about Jo yesterday?? was arguing with me mate he said he didnt do anything, i agree indivdually he wasnt outstanding but thats the best football we played all year with him involved he showed some nice touches and kept the ball moving id carry on with him ahead of Ballotelli this week coming

I can say it as we have been poor so to still be unbeaten and joint top is a real surprise, I would have expected to be 5/6 points adrift at this stage.

For me it will still be joint top, not interested in scoring petty points on here.

Chelsea are top. The league table doesnt lie. If the league ended now, united would finish second, not joint top. Its laughable.

It's a year when the league is there for the taking that is for sure. That's what has made our negative stance on football (excpeting yesterday) so annoying. With just a bit more 'go for it' we could have been top now. That said, I'm sure fans of all the other clubs in the top four are saying the same because none of the top four have been exactly inspiring this year and that's what makes it an interesting race.
I do think United fans do a great job in talking themselves down though. You haven't lost for what, 27 games or something. Not bad is it? Might even be a club record for all I know.

Jesus. United have the same points as Chelsea. If the league ended now it wouldn't be a full season as each team hadn't played each other twice so all positions would be void so United would have no confirmed position.
You know exactly what Paul meant and the point he was making.

If Everton had a decent striker, one teams were worried about and who would take most clear chances, they would be a Champions League side. They create a ridiculous amount of half chances, almost every other possession ended in a nearly moment.
Also a clear offside for the second Sunderland goal. Bribery investigation should be start, check his bank account. As pointed out by Gray, el-lino is perfectly in line with the defense as the ball is played, then the crosser comes back in front of him, so therefore MUST be offside.
Give Moyes the £120m that the fool Mancini spent this season Everton would be champions.

Never a sending off imo.
Ok under the letter of the law it was, but he wins the ball. Like I said, if Paul Scholes (I use him as an example after his 'tackle' on Palacios a few years ago which was far worse than Hugo's on Saturday) or any other Utd player does the same would he have been sent off - no is the answer.

It was a shocking attempt. It could have ended Rafaels's career. I was very impressed with Wigan on saturday. I thought nZogbia was outstanding.

Indeed. Moyes has great pedigree having managed Preston and…..errrrrrrr. Everton. At those clubs he won……..errrrrrr……….no trophies. A legend in the making.
You are comparing a manager who has won trophies at three clubs, including three scudettos with one of the biggest clubs in the world.

| Agree re Moyes. Hes a class manager and hes time will come (think he will get the united job IF mourinho doesnt want it) But until he handles the pressure of being a manager of a top top team you cant compare him with mancini. Roberto inherited someone elses team and come in stamped hes own authority and a new system and were 4th in the league only 3 points off the top with another transfer window too come were he can get rid of the dead wood. Think everton will finish 7th personally.

Not a decent striker, anymore. He's awful, really bad right now. His movement is non existent, he doesn't challenge for a ball, he's so weak he's easily pushed off the ball. If you watched him every week like we've had too so far you'd be thinking the same. He should never be starting ahead of Yakubu.
Quote ="Enfield Exile"Indeed. Moyes has great pedigree having managed Preston and…..errrrrrrr. Everton. At those clubs he won……..errrrrrr……….no trophies. A legend in the making.

I don't think he was actually comparing the managers as such, I see it more as he's saying Moyes is all being all wonderful and with the money Mancini's spent we'd be champions, well you could have the best strikers in the world upfront for us right now but with one up front and a non existent midfield we still wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the league. I don't know if he goes the games but if he did his view I would imagine would be completely different.
Last night was another below par performance, another shoite display from the non existent midfield. We were chasing shadows for the best part of an hour and the 451 style Moyes persists with just isn't working. After 8 years of the same one man up front football it's become very very stale and very predictable, it's so easy to work out how we'll play for opposition managers. It becomes even easier when Saha plays as the lone front man because he can't be arrsed. Our approach to games has become so negative it's untrue, Sunderland scored in the 70th minute last night and what wasn't seen on TV was Moyes had Yakubu and Beckford standing on the touchline for 8 minutes, ready to come on but just standing there doing fook all. If the 451 doesn't work then for the last four games plan B has been to load the pitch with extra strikers, doesn't work. We've picked up 3 points from our last four games and we now lie 14th and only points off the bottom three, we're nearly at the Christmas period, we can't rely on a good second half of the season to get us out of the bottom half and push for Europe, it won't happen. Bolton's good form should be a big lesson to Moyes, a change in tactics and a change in style, a more positive outlook on games and you can find yourself in the top four of the league. But we'll still play 451 at home to West Brom on Saturday, it'll still be Saha upfront on his own and we'll probably scrape another result.
