It looked horrible. Was it televised? I saw the highlights in the build up to the England game and it looked horrible. I can't quite tell why Rose and the other England players were moving round like that though, it looked as if they were all over the pitch instead of just walking off. It all looked an unholy mess, angry England players, the odd angry Serbian chasing those with a sea of Serbian players and officials trying to peace keep. What caused it in the first place? Just the fact that they lost or was something more serious afoot? The referee's contribution seemed pretty farcical, it was like a silent movie at one stage with the camp referee chasing the posse of players chasing the black England players.
There will be some serious bans handed out over that.

Don't think you have to be Einstein to work out what's happened there - Culturally, these Baltic and Eastern European nations are about 30 or 40 years behind Western Europe and still view black people as targets for the type of treatment that was common over here in the 70's and 80's.....It is no excuse, but its simply that they are still very, very backward in comparison with us.
Unfortunately, UEFA will find a way to 'share' the blame and try to pin some of the blame on the English, whilst telling the Serbians to slap a few wrists and try to identify a few neo-nazi nutters who they can ban for life... - The sad thing is that most of them are racist, simply by the environment they are used to living in, so banning half a dozen skinheads won't make much difference.
What should actually happen, but won't, is that these countries should receive points deductions in their World Cup qualifying groups and make it impossible for them to make it to the money making showpiece events that every country strives to be at.

I realise there was racist gestures and chanting going on, but that doesn't explain why Rose and a few others were moving around the pitch, over to the far side away from the tunnel? If you are getting abuse, walk off, they are professional footballers, especially when there is the threat of a pitch invasion. Players don't normally get that angry because people in the crowd are making monkey gestures. If there weren't any other incidents, it would appear the racist abuse was also happening on the pitch, but there were more Serbian players trying to peace keep than kick off. All rather messy and one hopes they have better footage to work with than that. I just hope the players weren't in on the racism.

Seriously though, just like his initial transfer rumours were supposedly fake, so too could this be. It's not like he can be trusted when he set himself out from the start as a hoaxster.
And if it is all true, so what? It's not like his "threats" particularly amounted to much. They were just retarded BS trying to intimidate him. It's not like the transfer speculation business is anything more of a joke now than it was before. How many millions of times has a footballer supposedly been reported by an estate agent as looking at houses in the area?'"
If it is true, he must surely lose his job over it. It is not an acceptable way to behave for any professional, let alone such a high profile professional in such an important role. Liverpool as a club seem to have made a mess of just about everything they've done off the field in the last few years.
If it's not true, it's more than a little weird.

Chang's confirmed that he met him, but he denied making any type of a threat.
Unless there was a recording made of the conversation, there's no way that the word of a fake blogger will be enough to fire Chang over it. Chang will claim wrongful dismissal, point to the fact the bloke was an Internet wind-up merchant and say his word cannot be trusted.

Steve Wigley the assistant manager was kicking off too, and from his two spells at Hull City seems the most relaxed and calm guy in the World, so something must have really provoked him.
Serbia will get a €20000 fine, half of it suspended for 6 weeks, and Rose and Wigley will both get 2 game bans.

Clearly they have a problem with racial abuse. It needs to be dealt with, and quickly.
But there are also issues with the holier than thou attitude that overflows from the English in these matters.
Racism is ignorant, but the comments from people like Sol Campbell in the build up to Euro 2012 are just as ignorant, and only cause further problems.

The England players did act like fools. It was already a bad situation, and after scoring a last minute winner the goalscorer chose to run to the Serbians and slide on his knees to them. Great way to diffuse the situation. Danny Rose booting the ball into the crowd, what a diplomat.
How many Serbs have you met? How have you determined that most of them are racist?

Is this what happened to England after their supporters terrorised the rest of Europe during the worst days of English football hooliganism?
If England go out of a tournament and town centres across the country get smashed up, are FIFA going to impose sanctions for that?

| Interesting statement from the Serbian FA. They've denied there was any racism at all and have said the game was played in a very sporting atmosphere both on and off the field. They reckon the incident at the end of the game was caused purely by three England players including Rose and Wickham celebrating the winning goal inappropriately, inciting the supporters and players and kicking the ball into the crowd.
It will now presumably rest on whether there is any actual evidence on camera I guess? You couldn't see anything on the TV shots they showed during the main England game.

| Apart from the racist chanting and the problems after the game there was various objects thrown onto the field as well.
Have the Serbian F.A been pulled on that by U.E.F.A?...if not it will show what a joke outfit they are, i seem to recall the German F.A got a fine when their fans threw some dangerous balls of paper onto the corner flag area during Euro 2012...which will go to show they act all tough at their prestige tournements but turn a blind eye at smaller viewed matches.

Both FA's are being pulled in over the events of last night. Of course the Serbian FA will be pulled over the missiles that were thrown on the pitch.

John Terry got half the ban because he was found to have abused Ferdinand once, while Suarez was found to have repeatedly used racial abuse.
Utter morons then say that there should be a blanket ban. But when a player is found to have made nasty, vile abuse against several players for 90 minutes are they really going to want them banned for just 8 games? Of course not. They'll then be calling for even longer bans, because 8 games obviously isn't enough.
But as Anton's Ferdiand's verbal abuse of John Terry wasn't worthy of censure, and Ashley Cole's word wasn't as bad as Anton's, how can that be twice as high a fine as Ferdinand's racial insult of Cole? Isn't racial abuse worthy of a blanket 8 match ban when it's by Rio Ferdinand on Ashley Cole?

Classic. Ferdinand racially abusing him. The fact that Ashley Cole is a 100% fine with him suggests Cole was in no way abused.

Just because Cole didn't milk the situation like Anton or Rio would doesn't mean he wasn't racially abused. The FA said he was. That's why they found him guilty of the same offence they found John Terry guilty of.

| Not sure what Chelsea have to gain by refusing to confirm whether or not Terry is still their captain. Why try to keep secret something that will become apparent on Tuesday?
Could it be that they've stripped him of the captaincy but are going through an internal appeals process? Or that there is some disagreement within the club on the matter?

CFC will be condemned when they confirm that JT will still be captain.
So rather than be facing the full condemnation that JT will still be club captain in the build up to the home game against Spurs, it will simply be revealed when the team sheet is released in the build up to the game in Donetsk.
