He's not played for a couple of games so he's not one of the many "scapegoats" we seem to have aquired recently.

I always liked him although he doesn't seem to have kicked on like I'd have hoped. Whether that's down to limited game time, ability or poor coaching, I don't know. Hopefully a change of scenery, regular game time and the lack of pressure that comes with playing for Wigan will see him live up to mine and everyone else's expectations.

This loan along with the Mossop loan is probably paying towards Gleeson's wages. I think I'd rather have sent Pryce out to be honest, or waited until George Carmont is back fit.

with all these players going out on loan, do you have the depth of squad if you have an injury crisis or have they all got call back clauses in the loans?

You can all but guarantee there'll be a 48hr recall in it like Bradford had in Dave Halley's loan agreement with Wakey.

I ask this because the general rule of loan deals is if there is no recall clause, the team loaning the player pays his entire wages, if there is a recall clause, again usually the flip side is only part of his wages are paid by the club loaning the player.
As such Saints (again i believe) cannot ask for Scott Moore/ Matty Smith or Ste Tyrer back from their loans as hudds and celtic are paying their entire wages.

Valid point but am I right in suggesting that the deals you cited are meant to be season-long deals? Therefore I'd expect similar to what you'd said; however, this is mid-season and, as such, I'd suggest we'll have a recall caveat in it.

For Gleeson to have signed, we must have had enough cap space left to afford him and Goulding at the same time, given the timing. It depend on when the Mossop deal was done to know whether we've got his and Goulding's salary free now.
