Tough one, if England did become GB he surely would have to be at least asked as he is the best winger who could possibly qualify for GB. What do you think?

Hasn't Richards already stated that he wouldn't play for Great Britain as he sees himself as Irish-Australian and not British?

England with GB tours every three or four years. We can learn something from union for a change.

Didn't he say to Brian Carney he would never do what Carney did and play for GB??

Maybe he would have done. The two young Welsh lads at Wire have already put their hands up for England.

GB everytime for me, it's what I've always known watching the game for 25 years.

I've gone for England because I think it will help the international game if we let Wales, Scotland and Ireland develop on their own. As previously said though some players are already declaring themselves for England which will not help the other countries.

IMO the GB would be the England team anyway so its more beneficial to just keep it as England.

I'd simply do a tri cycle, every 3rd year GB, then Wales have a stronger chance of keeping players like the Evans brothers defecting.

Has to be GB, anybody who was at Old Trafford in 86, 90 or Elland Road 90, Wembley 90,92 will know that the passion shown by the fans for a GB side far outweighs it than a England side

Great Britain, England is a football team.

Them side in 1990/92 would beat the side of 2011 anybody agree.

keep as england but introduce gb tours every 3-4years and alsohave regular fixtures for wales , scotland and ireland against the bigger nations

2014 - 4 nations
2015 - gb tours
2016 - 4 nations

with that obviously repeating its self in a 4 year cycle meaning that you obviously have the world cup every 4 years, the 4 nations for every 2 years which is better and in the middle of the cycle you have a great britain tour. for me this format is alot better then the current

Carney played for Great Britain and Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is not part of Great Britain, Northern Ireland is.



He's not eligable as his ancestry is from The Republic of Ireland and not Great Britain, unless of course they change it to Great Britain and Ireland like they did so Carney could play.

I've never cared about England but loved to get behind GB. I'm sure alot of other fans would feel the same way.

england anyday, with all the expansion plans going on if you just made great britain no scottish,welsh or irish players would play (bar richards) need to keep them apart now or expansion is pointless

I used to think GB, however, now I think that if the International game is ever to mean anything it has to be England.

Let's be honest the Welsh, Scottish and Irish contribute very very little and the loss of their players wouldn't be an issue.

Atm there are zero who would make the England team.
