Stuart Fielden is on a 4 and half year deal.

Andy Farrell signed a 6 year contract in 2000 although he went a year early.

Good news for you lot is that. Very good player and imo is better than Myler.

The Bulldogs fans think he's the worst player they've ever seen and up until this year they've not had the best of times recently.

With all the spare salary cap space we should have knocking about i'll be truely pi*sed off if we end up with a bargain basement player like Holdsworth........Rather have Reg.

Most possibly the best thing to have happened this season for the club Sam coming through and then signing up until 2014.

The lad is pure class and has the right attitude to make it right to the top, mix a few more lads with the attitude and desire from the reserves and things will improve a lot imo.

Its good to know we have a quality halfback signed up for 5 years who is Wigan through and through.

Atleast we know we have 2 of our main creative roles secured by quality Wigan youth players in OLoughlin and Tomkins

Forget Myler this kid is the real deal. Best up and coming halfback I have seen in years.

Although Tommy isn’t from Wigan we can rest assured knowing we can add his name to the two above to give us a young and talented spine to the team. Tommy is just as committed as the above two mentioned and imo he’ll be here for a while as well. This is great news considering the turnover we’ve had in recent seasons.

Why did you have to mention Tommy and spoil it! As with coaches a low turnover in is only good if they deliver results and as a 7 Tommy isn't up to the job. Yes I know IL said he sees him as a 9 but I am not convinced he is particularly well suited to that position long term as a main 1st choice hooker either.
