The best hooker by far still is Roby with the likes of O`Neil certainly one to watch.
I think the only concern I would have as a Wigan fan would be the 4 years contract Leeming has.
We tend to be the ones who dish out those sort of contracts.
Walters on the other hand is a great signing for you just like McDonnell is for us.

It is a long deal for us that but I can only presume it’s been offered on the basis that we give him longer term security, in exchange for him accepting a lower salary than he would’ve asked for on a 2 year deal. His style of play suits our needs IMO. Matty Peet has made a point of assuring Brad O’Neill that he is a major part of the future and I think there is a nice balance between the 2 of them.

I wonder what his salary will be? He was on close to 200k at Leeds and apparently Catalans weren't willing to meet his demands, so he'll probably be on a lot more than Powell.

He is a better player than most are giving credit to and he will create far more mayhem for the opposition than your current hookers and if your speedsters are on his shoulder they will make hay

We do need a threat through the middle , I would love to see French and Field getting space down the middle of the pitch

We’ve seen what Fields can do on the back of those little dink kicks through the middle and the offloads Mago use to produce last year, looking a Leemings highlights he can certainly create those gaps and looks to have great support play. I’m hoping that release one of those passes for anyone of our props would cause damage.

Not in a million years would Hetherington approve a contract for a player like Leeming on that sort of money
