I believe Crosby was available for last nights game and that he was pretty miffed about not being selected.

Tbf before last night I think Leeds and Hudds did have it worst but now you've joined that level. Saints have lost a few important players for them too. All in all Warrington should be laughing.

Also it'll hardly be surprising going from the first two games that Leeds have another couple of guys added to their injury list by the end of the night

The worrying thing about the injury crisis is we have a first team squad of 31 but don't have any cover[i good enough [/i to step up in key key positions of 1,6,7 and 9 and only one reserve centre (Gildart).

Powell doesn't convince me at hooker. Nor Tierney at full back.

Lots of options at prop and back row but for hooker and the backs we are sadly lacking suitable replacements.

I'm looking forward to Waterworth's debut at hooker personally. It's about time we gave another one a chance. We threw Gildart in last year and it worked out alright.

If Smith is out then I suspect it will be either Powell at 6 or Lockers (which I am not sure about these days)

I suppose the other option would be to move Sarge to 6 and put Gildart in the centre.

Longer term I wonder if Liam F could be an option at hooker - sort of like Mick Cassiday did back in the day.

Salford? Tommy Lee and Tomkins at Hooker. I think they have four recognised half backs in their squad. In any case the point is with a squad of 31 we have no suitable replacements if we have injuries in those positions mentioned. We only had one SL standard hooker before MM was injured, him and our only SL standard full back won't play until April. So I think the squad is unbalanced with too many inexperienced players promoted to it.

Hard to argue with that DaveO. I think we'd look more balanced if we went with Sarge at FB and left Gildart at centre until Sam came back in. I'm with the majority on here and I just don't have the faith in Powell to carry us through a season as our main hooker.

Not disagreeing with you DaveO... But is that the Tomkins that many of the sages on this board wanted out of the club double fast because he was considered garbage?

Logan was and still is not Wigan standard. The problem is we didn't replace him with anyone Wigan standard either, so we now have Powell doing 80 minutes at hooker when he was playing half-back in pre-season and 30 minute stints in the first couple of games. And isn't really a hooker. But by god the lad can wrestle!

It's probably a pipe dream but I'd love Leuluai back here to finish his career. He's probably lost a bit of zip but he's always a threat out of dummy half and would bring many of the qualities we need in the side.

I've always felt we'd see him back here at some point and with Issac Luke now in at 9 at the Warriors, Robson and Shaun Johnson in the halves and Lolohea looking for a spot somewhere I can't see him playing every week.

Get him in as player coach. I say all this he's probably not fit himself.
