Sam has played more games as captain than anybody else in tomorrow's squad. He has shown (so far) that he is up to SL level and is used to captaining the team he's in, so why not give him a shot?

I would rather see Tommy given another shot than Sam, he's going well as he is, so why change anything. Richards for me won't do much talking, and it's gona take some serious leadership from the wing. Carmont, similar, althought he does always put his hand up, so maybe.

Well Sinfield was 20 when he was captain of Leeds And Faz Captained GB at 21.

Sam is a natural Leader just as Sinfield is and Faz was as they say in this day and age he can talk the talk and walk the walk. He can organize a side and i think it would bring out the best in him give him a shot thats what i say its a 50/50 game and his energy and commitment might just transfer to other players and win us the match

It's not the worst idea I've heard, I would imagine that Tomkins is being groomed to be the long term Captain at Wigan and will be about long after TL has gone, he would have nothing to lose tonight so why not throw him in at the deep end against a good side and see how he goes.
