Im Sky+ this game and watching it when I return after seeing England draw against USA. I'm more concerned now with the Wakey game tomorrow, after Saints and Wire both got great wins yesterday.

This international fixture is merely an inconvenience.

£8 to stand in Leyth for a few hours sounds like a rip off to me. Still going though.

Is it wrong that I actually want USA to win the football? After being told that the England V France game is 'irrellevant' today I cant wait till England football fail & get knocked out yet again.

But in reality it kinda is. I'm interested in the game and will be watching it on sky+ tomorrow, but it's a mid season friendly against a team we should beat. Whereas England are playing their first game in the world cup, and I'll definately watch that over a friendly against a poor side in rl.

EDIT: At the end of the day it's a stupid move by the RFL to have them on at the same time, as I'd much rather just watch both live than have to make a choice.

The USA are an average side who the England football team should beat.
You don't get the same kind of negativity when the football team are playing 'meaningless friendlies' against Slovakia, Japan or Egypt.
If you like football then fair enough. Go and watch it, but please stop going on about how poor and pointless the rugby is.
At times this week I've felt like I'm surrounded by Latics fans and they're tired 'pointless minority sport' mantra.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Gareth Widdop in action. Think it's the perfect game for Sam to show some class.

think that is a fair point. i dont think there would have been as much negativity towards the match tonight though had it not been played on the same night as the football.a poor effort from the rfl imo.

I used to think like that until i visited America.

Why is it sad? Can't someone enjoy both sports? I'm a season ticket holder at Ewood Park and the DW Stadium - I enjoy both sports and don't feel the need to compare the two.

Oh and one is a friendly and the other is a group game in the World Cup. It's no contest.

At different times. England rugby union played today aswell, but not many people have been up in arms about that.
I know quite a few who are at the game and will be going into the pub straight after to watch the football. Watching and supporting both teams. It can be done.

I'd say he deserves a good rest on the 60 minute mark.
