I admit we came with a tactic to rough you up a bit, particularly Sam Tomkins, but none of the tackles on him were particularly bad and with regards to high shots and grapples you were just as bad as us. Why is Manu being singled out for taking out Tomkins? I can only remember one high shot by him and that was the one he got put on report for (nothing in it either), the others penalties given to Sam was Lauaki's hit which was a perfectly good tackle but then he got done for a flop I think? Briscoe tackled him in the air and was rightly penalised and Tickle blocked him off when he was chasing a kick, again a deserved penalty.

Both the Tomkins brothers are very petulant though I must say, Joel more so, the elbow was just silly and him throwing the ball at Briscoe in the first half nearly sparked another punch up.

I don't think you'll find any Wigan fans who'd disagree with you about Joel's stupid action. He will rightly be suspended, which is something we just don't need at the present time. In one moment of uncontrolled hot-headedness, he's put extra pressure on his team-mates for several weeks. Plus, he could have seriously injured his opponent.

The point generally, I think, is that Agar's post-match whining seems a bit rich when, by your own admission, Hull's own tactics were skating pretty near the edge. Personally, I think Agar needs to learn how to coach normally before he tries roughhouse variations. In the meantime, you lot should just get rid. If you snapped the guy in half, he'd have 'Loser' written all the way through him.

To be fair Briscoe was petulant in that game. Nearly every single take made against him he came pushing and swinging as if something had happened, but nothing had. I'm assuming it was Agar's tactics. Take umbrage at some invisible offence in the tackle and make the ref think that Wigan are doing something untoward.

to be fair to hull i see nothing wrong with what they did in terms of trying to rough up one of our best players i really hope our forwards would do the same if needed.

the bit that annoys me is fans/coaches who dont understand moaning about our wrestle in the tackle. fact is wrestling is now an important part of the game the team that wins the wrestle controls the play wigan just happen to be by far the best at it

the reason you get coaches moaning about it is because they got controlled and were not allowed to play the game plan they wanted. Rather than moaning about it try find a way of beating it simple.

I've not seen the footage hence why I didn't comment on the tries one way or the other - just thought I'd mention that we do get Sky Sports outside of Wigan.
I'm also familiar with the reasons for why video isn't used to adjudicate on forward passes. However - if a pass is forward it often looks forward on video too. That's
because it's forward. You tries may have been fine - as I say not seen them so can't comment.
