The night before the CC final in 1984, I had the most intense and realistic dream that we were hammering Widnes out of sight. Graeme West galloped in for a length of the field try, much the way he galloped the length of the field in the semi-final a year later. I actually woke up thinking we'd won the cup - for about two seconds. At no stage in that dream did it occur to me as strange that Alex Murphy was playing scrum-half for us.
