Yes it is, I watched the Superleague Superman programme on him a few weeks ago and even my husband (Leeds Rhinos fan) stated what a great guy he was. Luke said he had been very involved in coaching the under 20s and I stayed on to watch the lads a few weeks ago after the main match and they were very good. Luke was playing full back and barking out commands right left and centre - it was all very impressive and bodes well for the future if we can keep them. It was just great to see him back on such top form.

You are completely correct Marilyn and the guys in both the under 20's and Academy think so highly of Luke as well, I am so pleased how well things are going for him.

That's really great to hear. I reckon that Luke had the guts to tell Rob Powell his fortune as my dear old boss used to say and that's why he wouldn't play him. As one of our ex players who is now a family friend said when Monie was coaching the team "you can be playing out of your skin but if your face doesn't fit with the coach it doesn't fit".

I 'love' Dorny. Since the days of the golden triangle, along with Dennis Moran the best finisher we have ever had. Top bloke too.

Legends Rings?
It may have been just before my time, but I am sure the fans used to give rings to the players...or am I dreaming?

No you are not dreaming, I believe Gilly was given one on his retirement and possibly Steelo as well.

and we did do a good presentation to Gilly at his final game.....now I am getting as old as storming bronco, but I did think we got rings for one more player than Gilly that season, but cannot remember who it was.
