Has anyone heard a time scale on the return of tom Spencer and eddie battye?

Asked Eddie in the bar on Sunday & said the knee injury was worse than initially thought and reckoned about another 5-6 weeks for recovery. Saw Tom in the stand, but I had a brain freeze and couldn't remember his name, so didn't talk to him about his injury.

How is Ackers

I hope he gets a rest the next couple of games. Last week was a re occurrence of the injury he sustained at dewsbury. He needs time to get it right. Halifax have a bit of an injury crisis at the moment and may struggle against us on sunday, I would rather akers was rested to get hopefully fully fit for Rochdale who at current form will be a real challenge.
Not ignoring the fact that so far we have not been sparkling on the road so fax will not be a breeze. They are hurting from loss against toulouse as well, they think they were robbed and should have won it.

Ackers is a big miss, however if even if he is fit for Friday I would leave him out for the game to give him an extra week to rest.
I will not be too upset if we get knocked out of the cup. We are not going to win the thing anyway.

Various reasons.

Our injuries in the pack for one, especially having no decent hookers fit.
Also I'm not too sure how serious we will take this game, so maybe a few of the academy boys might get a run out.
Plus, Toronto basically have a squad made up of the lower ends of Super league clubs and half of Leigh's victorious Championship squad.

Hope I'm wrong but .....

The fact they only just managed to turn over siddal, and same as us they have a short turnround, but after watching there game on Sunday they would have had a lot taken out of em, one of there main oomph players is banned! All that tied together works in our favour.

Neither did the player who took Sammut out with the high tackle on the try line. In fact he didnt even get put on report or a disciplinary. Refs really have double standards. We are continually asked to respect the officials but they need to respect the players and the fans. I agree things can be missed in a game but no way was that missed by any official. If there was doubt then he should ahve been placed on report as was our player.

Never been an apologist the Refs. I merely point out if players played by the rules you actually woukd not need refs.

The reason for the Garside incident being put on report by the way, was the way the tackle was completed, ref put it on report because he didn't see who the player was who lifted the legs. Hd had to makd z call on thd fiekd though hence thd penalty, the discip panel looked at it and decided there was no case, can't see a problem with that.
It was a free interchange though.

Being an apologist! Not every high shot is put on report! His shoes that are seen should and will be penalised, think the important word there us if seen.

the Sammut high tackle was not missed. It was on the try line and the game was stopped for quiet a while. IT was against Bradford

Well if it was not penalised it was either missed or not an illegal tackle. I genuinely can't recall the incident you are talking about
