Having watched this afternoons Catalan Leigh game, my respect for Mr Hewer as a referee is even lower than that of Mr Hicks.

If you take like for like, so instead of looking at Wigan Warrington etc look at other championship teams. Look at KR Dewsbury Oldham Halifax instead.

Then you can choose to look at it two ways glass hall full or half empty.
Half full we have only been in front of the panel 6 times compare that to the other teams most are well into double figures
Half empty out of the 6 2 have resulted in charges. The RFL must hate us, Toulouse have 7 with 3 charges!

Look at any organisation that has discip hearings, look at the countries judiciary that hold hearings. If you get charged with any offence in any situation chances are if you can't be bothered to make the effort to appear before that hearing then the outcome is likely to be worse than if you do appear, it's fact. We hardly ever send the player up to red hall to explain what his thoughts on the action were, so the club does very little to help the panel.

For me I look at the positive, we have only had 6 events referred which has to be a positive.
