does anyone know why Huddersfield will not be playing in this years Floodlit 9s? with a £10,000 pot to the winners and with most of the other SL clubs enterin this year should be even better then last.

in the off chance this was a over sight can i start the ball roling and ask the club to enter. as a loyal supporter i would love to see the young future prospects playing along side there first team counterparts.

It's an additional mid week match and we have enough injury problems at present.

yes it is a mid week comp but as my post said we could play the younger lads. and TBH we dont have full schedule for august

as it stands we only play 3 times if we was involved in the CC then i would agree with you that it is too much but not with the current schedule.

and therefore fresh going into the playoffs? Why impose another fixture on the team?

we won the first floodlit 9's with a strong team sent

not such a strong team sent last year and got beaten

too many injuries at the club at the moment to enter this year i reckon

josh griffin, brown etc are all on dual registration so they wouldnt be sent

would be a pointless exercise to send a weak team and end up losing when the academy and reserves have games anyway

with 33 on the books (not including Kirmond) i thought it would be worth a punt. the coachng staff would only send a competative team and not use anyone who may be involved in the play offs.

with the draw for the Northern Rail 9's done yesterday and the team who win this being in the floddlit 9s a number of the squad men could be on duty anyway! i would rather see them play for us then a team that would and is just making up the numbers.

£10,000 for the team that wins besides this could also be the ideal time to debut the Giants secret wepon..................Phil Bailey,
