I am going to get a big England flag printed to put on seats at away games, anyone else up for taking them?
On another note, when we played against warrington in the challenge cup a few weeks back did anyone see the giants shirt flag on the pitch? I am going to email the club to see if we can have that passed over the fans in the Britania rescue stand before the games, good idea or not?

I dont want to dampen it but despite clubs like Hull KR as example allow it our stadium doesn't. Or more to the point the safety officer. Town have asked for the same and the answers been no. One reason given is that it needs to be fire retardent and have a certificate to prove it is and even then theres still opposition to it! But please dont shoot me down I'm only trying to be helpful. You can still enquire about it though!

i like the idea of away games but normally our fans spread out or there isnt enough of us eaton my friend but we could get one done and see what its like

I have been searching all over for Claret and Gold Union Jack flags. Can get blue and white ones for away games on An Auction site.

You'd have to get these custom made - I get get you some contact details of the guy who did them for the wigan lot - I'd have one and maybe another with my website name on it.

Yeah they are even considering banning lighters and matches. Which in turn would allow flags over peoples heads as one of the concerns is some mad person having a laugh and lighting it with their lighter! It would also help maintaining the stadium as a non smoking stadium!

Someone should tell your safety officer that the aim of risk assessments is to reduce risk to an acceptable level, not eliminate it altogether. Likelihood vs severity. Whilst the severity of a large flag catchng fire maybe fairly high but probably not fatal, the likelihood of it happening in normal circumstances is low, therefore risk would be low. In any case, the stadium would not be liable for a deliberate act by a spectator.

Hey I know, it's not just him though, it's the safety team too. I'm only advising here. Like I've said before if someones intent on causing harm they'll do regardless of any regulation!

have always thought the flag would be a good idea. just one of those things that helps to add to the atmosphere.

hmmm i think a raffle will be pretty good tbh gives everyone an incentive of putting a quid in if not 2 depending on how badly they wonna win the shirt lol but erm yh sounds like a good plan just would have to get the shirt signed

or u could always just buy a shirt then get the players to sign it at events n that then do the raffle for it i doubt the club will help us unless there getting some of the money as thats what there like schemes like this to help atmosphere the club doesnt seem to care that much about
