Never actually played first team for us. Signed from Sheffield in the off-season, he has been playing for Batley and doing well apparently.

Danril, Kyle Wood signed a 3 year contract with the Giants last year, and playing for Castleford instead of Batley is definately what he needs

The fans at Batley are very impressed with him. They also like Brown but feel that Griff has been a bit quiet. He's not really had a proper run though.

Thats an understatement Danril, Griffin has unfortunately been nothing short of atrocious for us. In fact, for the most part he's looked like someone they dragged in off the street who has only been playing rugby for a few weeks. Done absolutely nothing (quite literally) apart from drop the ball and miss crucial tackles. A huge disappoinment.

My Batley supporting work mates weren't quite so damning!

They were obviously being nice. Genuinely, he's been appalling. He spent the entire game against Whitehaven been told where to stand, what to do, and being generally chastised by our coaching staff. It was pretty embarassing really. Even when he manages to catch the ball, he doesn't know what to do with it. For such a big lad, he's not broken one single tackle yet.

Funny, he looked ok with us.

Maybe the coaching staff need to think how to get the best out of him rather than bollocking him.

His form was absolutely dire before Sundays match and his 80 minute coaching session on how to play the game. IMO its been a bit of a shock to him that he's no longer playing against spotty teenagers in the Academy.
On the other hand, Alex Brown has been excellent for us, and definitely has a talent that is worth keeping in your ranks.

Strange that because he is a good player!

Maybe he just does'nt want to be at Batley in which case he should say so and either go back to Hudds or sort out a different loan deal.
