There is little doubt many Oz clubs have seen what Eorl can do. How smart the Giants were to sign him for 4/5 years. Also it is obvious to anyone who speaks to the guy he loves the club, fans and the town.
Parker's speculation on Brough is typically lame. Only the Wolves have been willing to dish out large transfer fees. Also if the Giants were to take Brough they would have to move players on - probably a couple - and the market is very flat at the moment. there are a large number of decent players currently without contracts.
We have Brown / Robbo / McNally / Drew / Grix / Lunt / Faiumu / Wood /Carlile at halves or hooker and Brett H and Leroy can also cover halfback. So there is no worry for 2010. In 2011 Brough is out of contract, so why not wait. |

Read that and couldn't stop laughing. The Eorl bit is such a non-story it defies belief, I hope the Sun isn't paying Mr Parker cos if that's the standard of his journalism then he's robbing them. I mean, seriously, player who has performed well on the international stage may be attracting attention from overseas, but he doesn't want to sign for them and anyway he has just signed a four year extension. Well done, that's a real scoop.

It has been reported that brown is looking for a move down under and whilst I do not want to see him go, if he did you would have to feel we would only allow him to leave with a signing in the pipeline. I agree there is probably nothing but lazy journalism in the brough story but he would be a perfect replacement should brown actually move on

At least we getting coverage in a national newspaper(sic). Even if it is only The Sun (Hell. I want to wash my hands after typing that). Maybe it is a non-story, but it creates a some interest in our club, and as someone who worked at the club when Dave Parker was our secretary I will state that IMHO at the time, noboby worked harder than David to bring success to Huddersfield.
I'm not having a go at you, just giving my opinion on why I hope the article was written. To create interest in our club and RL in general.
