I thought Hull FC defended superbly. Their line speed was excellent and, as the cliché goes, the really played for each other.

Thankfully the pressure told in the end. I thought it was going to be one of those days but we showed composure and resilience. What I liked the most though was our own line speed at 79mins. We flew off the line like it was minute 1, I was proud to follow the boys today. They couldn't have done anything more to impress me than what they did.

Brough MoM IMO. Did it all. Takes tackling as a personal challenge. Has his needle but controls it, which NB has managed superbly. He has developed into a great, great player with maturity. Big licks also to Eorl, Chan, Murphy for his composure, Grix for persistence and Robbo for being the wee man who sparked two Hull inadvertently and got Eorl to check him for blood!

Best team on the day won. Thought we (Hull) defended superbly well but offered very little with ball in hand unfortunately. Hopefully with a weeks rest and Moa back to beef up the front row the CC game will be a lot closer in terms of the scoreline. We are still very much a work in progress and have a long way to go but it's nice to just go to games and see your team really play for each other with an outstanding work ethic. It's also good to see Hudds up there challenging and good luck for the rest of the season after we knock you out of the challenge cup.

I thought it was a great game in its own way. Too many mistakes but it is easy to ignore the constant drizzle when you're sat in the stand and end up not taking it into account.

As I said earlier I thought Hull FC defended superbly and the attitude is the key thing. It's why they all harp on about playing for each other etc but it really is key. They didn't ever threaten our line IMO but ultimately they played Rovers on Friday and we had an easier ride in comparison, no disrespect to Salford but on the day they didn't play to their best.

Two good sides today, tactical battles, bit of blood, both of us will be there at he business end for sure.

giants deserved the win today, we ran out of steam and that showed in the end and our attack, although 22-4 looks like a good beating it certainly wasn't!

although I enjoyed the game, I felt it was a shame that Hull had so many missing and the conditions were so wet. Hull and Hudds first choice line-ups going head to head in good conditions would be one hell of a battle/game! Lets hope we see this when you visit the KC in the summer.

I thought Hudds were easily the best side we have played this season, and don't look deserving of top spot on current form.

What was wrong with the way Child reffed the game ?, said as much after that he policed the 10 very well today and generally was excellent on much of the game play, touch judges were inconsistent to say the least.

Thought Childs did exceptionally well today. One of the best displays this season. [Even though Hull were offside at every PTB.

Childs made a couple of howlers but nothing that made him stick out as particularly bad. Bear in mind the last ref we saw was Hicks who, frankly, was utter gash.

Just for clarity Dave, every side at every PTB is offside mate.

Compared to Hicks, hes the best ref there has ever been.

the winning side is always going to say the ref wasnt bad but i had a rovers fan with me who came along to watch the game and he said that child was awful even joined in with the cheat chants lol
very poor display from him but referes can do as they please nowadays

But he was lightyears ahead of the clown we had on Friday.

spoke to a giants fan on the way out about childs, we both agreed he was poor and is still a very poor referee, didn't mention he was to blame for our loss did i?

Althought he missed one or two thing how exactly did he cheat ?.

He gave both teams a large 10 which was penalised a couple of times both ways, he gave forward passes forward, knock ons knock ons and generall had a decent game i thought.
Obviously you lost so saw the game differently but i cant think of anything untoward that could possible have him down as a cheat!!!.

which ones? you mean the complimentry penalty he gave us in the last 30 seconds that was on our own line!?



the only penalties we got were for a head high and obstruction that tickle kicked for our points

As soon as I saw hull kicking for two I knew we had them running scared-and so would the players. Child's was ok but did make some howlers-but did so for both sides-hull slowed the ptb so much in the first half and it was let go -hull were good in defence-our handling was abysmal, hulls kicking game was good esp early on but hull had no attacking flair. Can't wait to get ,odonnell, fooey, gilly and George back for next week.

Mate, I aren't being funny but you must have been watching a different game to me. He penalised you guys 4 times in the entire game,a token 2 in the last minute. No team is that squeaky clean to only commit 2 penalties in 79 mins. I think the guy is a disgrace, don't get me wrong you guys deserved the win, and were the better side, but you aren't gonna concede many points if you can get away with being offside like any team would. I'm still scratching my head with him judging how Seymour knocked on that kick in the 1st half.

I'm just proud of the defence, desire and work ethic FC showed today. Last season under Agar, we would have been 20 points down in that first half. Overall a great game of Rugby League, with dropped ball being down to some brutal hits. Congratulations on the win, I do think the score flattered you guys. You lot have a good side there. I thought child had a fairly decent game,a couple of dodgy ones but nothing too bad, one of the better performances from an official this year i thought.
As for the game both defences were on top for most of it, but once we broke their resilience it was all over for them, they offered very little on attack but could be down to our decent defence.

well im not being funny but i thought you was offside as much as we was i mean your forwards was in our face just after robbo basically picked up the ball and lets be fair they are not that fast. grix had a knock on against him from a 20m resrtart where his facing backwards and droped the ball backwards. but was a very scrappy game but both have brilliant defences

Probably yes, every team tries to get away with things in a game, I aren't disputing that. Hull got penalised far more in that game than you lot, I mean TWO penalties in 79 mins. Take your blinkers off mate, no team in Super League is that disciplined. Child wasn't the reason we lost that game, you were the better team on the day no doubt and we just ran out of petrol in the last quarter, but that clown had an influence on it. If you aren't willing to admit that then there's something wrong.

He wasnt great but Can't say he influenced the outcome- it wasn't him dropping balls And taking two points instead of taking advantage of the few bits of field possession hull had all game- as soon as I saw they were taking two I knew they were lacking in confidence-and probably so did the players.

Yeah, as soon as they took 2 early on I knew they'd struggle to break us down
