| Quote ="GIANT DAZ"what aa laod of crap - its not like they are putting out a team of kids, as far as i can see they are all Super League players anyway and it is a sorry fact of our game if our current champions couldnt put out a 'competitive side' after losing a few players !! '"
Come on now, it's not simply losing just ''a few players'' is it?
Of the unavailable group of Tomkins x2, Richards, Fielden, Gleeson, Deacon, O'Carroll -
One is the Man of Steel, one is the Young Player of the year for 2 seasons runnng, we have another 2 current England internationals out, a top class centre, Brett Finch is another top import, our chief organiser and another prop is also out.
Would you honestly fancy your chances on Friday without Brough, Hodgson, Mason, Brown, Grix, Fa'alogo et al against a Wigan team with most of the above playing?
You're right, it isn't a team of kids who haven't played before, but our 3/4 line will be having 2 inexperienced, young players in there.
The point stands that if you remove those 7 players' counterparts from Saints, Leeds or Wire, and sent them to Huddersfield you would back the Giants to win as they're a very good side.
FWIW, I expect a pretty close game, but Huddersfield will win it by 6-10 points.

You can say they are missing. Richards and Fielden more so as they would have been starting.
Leon Pryce hasn't played this season, yet he's quite clearly missing from Saints' team.

Indeed Wadski, but I'm surprised they even include someone who they have sacked yet use it in a post to get an irrelavent point across, seems to me like they are 'buttering' the bottom of the cake tin of excuses should they lose tomorrow.

i agree with the first part the website and work that goes into is commendable and something that does credit to himself and the club but his comments about the Giants are opinion.
The comments about him being a "dick", and a "moron" are also opinion whether you agree with them or not.
Personally i would say part of his review is petty, arrogant, one eyed, biiased, innacurate and small minded. My opinion only.

| Can someone explain to me why Wigan's unbeaton start to the season is supposed to be so all conquering and making Wigan the team to fear/despise in the same breath.
Started by Drawing with St Helens - Although to be fair for 70 minutes were the best team by miles - but Sts are poor this season.
Next was Bradford a big victory against a shocking side who have beaten only Wakey and Crusaders
Next was Salford - Nice win but Salford are worse than poor.
Then scraped it against Hull who have only won one this season.
So 3 wins and a draw against the lesser lights.
Next three games are Giants, Wolves and Rhino's and the Warriors have a mini injury crisis.
If anyone wants to claim that the modern side can hold a candle to the legendary exploits of the undoubtedly great Wigan team of the late eighties and early nineties they need to win these games.
Otherwise they will be in danger of being one season wonders and the arrogance shown by my fellow Wiganers will have been shown to be premature.
Roll on tomorrow, can't wait, should be a cracker. I can only see one winner (unless it's a draw )

So he is a moron who puts undue emphasis on team numbers FFS. What a plodder. There are more intelligent ways to analyse a team You believe that if you like. That's up to you.

You'd have thought that the match referee, one of the two touch judges, one of the three disciplinary panel or one of the three appeal panel would have seen the hit by Joel Tomskin being a 'fair hit'.
It does seem strange that they ALL missed it?

Thing is, they were only there. They didn't have the benefit of seeing the video replay taken from the stands on the Super League website. That clearly showed it to be a fair hit. No, really!

| ATOTD Wigan fans say it was fair so it was. EOS. Similar to the late, high shot on Robbo last season like. Fair hit, the RFL's judgement is clearly flawed the same as the views of everyone else in the world bar Wigan fans.
Black is white, night is day, the hit was fair, running in and punching someone from behind when they don't know it's coming is fair game and so on. It's clearly an anti-Wigan conspiracy if you ask me. I asked Stuart Cummins and he told me he's never liked Wigan. He thinks they smell of bins. True story.

Yep ill-discipline, raising your fists and striking someone is exactly that, yet it's us who should feel as though the RFL and the officials at the game are at fault.

| FWIW, we had Lolesi, Whatuira, Raleigh, Kirmond, Aspinwall, and Patrick [+ Drew missing, mostly injured, when we beat Wigan away last season.
Did we moan?
No, because we were used to it. We usually had 5 or 6 players out injured for each match. There were only 3 or 4 matches when a player didn't leave the field with a medium to long term injury.
Get over it Wigan.
And also let it be a warning to our players what can happen with an understrength team!

Lets not be too silly about this.
- lima/prescott/coley are props if fielden and O'Carroll were fit Wigan would not play with 5 props
- if maguire opts to play with 1 hooker then deacon woud be out of the halves and not play
- getting players with the right values and attitudes is important the absence of Gleeson / Tomkins 1&2 has nothing to do with unfortunate injuries - it appears down to the choices of players.
So a couple of players would be competing for the same places and up to 3 bumped themselves.
The giants will have 3 form players definitely not playing - Patrick / McGilvray / Ferguson (all England Knights call ups) + there is Raleigh + whoever is not in our final 17 starting, such as Robbo. Yet we are not prattling on about who is missing.

Yes if we lose tomorrow Could Gahan and C13 please note i will not be back until after midnight so if they could look after everything. the way they are winding themselves up on the Wigan board they will be on here like a flock of locusts.
NB to Giants fans, if we win the mods on their site hit the delete ban button quicker than the RFL banning a wigan player leads to cries of conspiracy.
Christ i hope we win or it will be armageddon on here. Although i do have a list of 50 posters on the Wigan board cut and pasted to add in to the banning section if needed.
