| I am one of those who thought our midseason slump was partially down to Broughy coming into the side and still do
But I have to admit the ladd is coming good
I thought he played well the last few weeks and was unlucky not to get MOM
keep going lad you are begining to change the minds of the doubters and NB is proved right again. I wish he was stopping longer than his current contract NB would be the best signing Sky Marshall DAVY could make next year.
on a side not is there space for hodgson to return I believe the current line up is gelling really well. Proof will be against Wigan but the case for keeping it the same is rising
IMHO

| The team are playing really well but out of the injured players for me Hodgson,Mason,Falaogo and Robinson if fit would have to return to the side.

| Not entirely convinced on Brett walking back into the side...he has been the architect of our downfall on a number of times this season, and we certainly havent missed him in recent games.

| Agree about Brough, although I wasn't one of the ones that blamed our slump on him coming into the side.
I'm hoping NB is going to keep Grix at fullback and not play Hodgson, Grix has been playing very well.
Hope he brings back Mason for Horne, Fa'alogo for Patrick (Only due to injury, otherwise I'd replace him with finnigan) and Robinson for Drew.
EDIT: Also Jammer for Lawrence.

| i certainly wouldn't play Loleisi before Lawrence. Grix has played well but if Brett Hodgson is fit he then he is too good to leave on the sidelines.

| I would
Jammer has more pace, he knows when to pass the ball to his winger and is also solid in defence.

| Lawrence has got more pace than Jammer IMO. They both struggle at times with their distribution and although Jammer has got decent defence i think Lawrence has the edge in that area as well.

| lets get used to life without Hodgson. Give Grix a chance and we might have a ready made replacement. Lawrence over Jammer for me.

| Playing Lawrence has massive benefits defencivley. He can come inside in defence and play like an extra forward allowing players like Brough and Drew to defend out wide against the smaller players.
He is averaging 25 tackles a game which is a huge amount for a centre.

Grix might be a ready made replacement for next season but while you still have a player of hodgson's ability you need to use him. You have to pick your strongest side. Do you think for example Saints will not bother picking Cunningham just because he is retiring at the end of the year.
Hodgson is a proven big game player and will be vital for the Giants in the play offs.

| the stella kid, last season, I would have agreed that he should walk straight back into the team. This season, however, I would not agree with you. He has not been the same player.

| With regard to Brough I thought he as been good for you from what Ive seen! His kicking game is brilliant at times (Except of course whens hes kciking em out on the full!). You did seem to dip when he came in as though players werent happy with him but now you seem settled and he is at the heart of the good things you do! Hes also allowing Brown abot more freedom to attack the line and they seem to be working very well! If you could sort your inconsistancy out you would have been challenging for top 4 again as your team as some very exciting players!!

| Bruno has massivly benefited from regular game play this season, his centre play on Sunday was first rate in attack and defence, and I think he is faster than Jammer who was always a better 2nd row to me.

At last after 10 posts someone has got it right
As much as i like Grix he has not been tested defensively yet. His completeion rate for high kicks was 50% on Sunday.Attacking wise he offered everything Hodgson does. I am all for trying new things and i could understand Brown keeping some of his players in BUT Mc Gilvray and Grix would be up for a real defensive challenge against Tomkins kicks and Richards ball catching abilities.
Do we want to take a gamble i think both decisions are judgement calls. there is no right or wrong except with hindsight.

| I would keep Mcgillivary in for the Wigan game but i have a feeling Nathan Brown will go with Lolesi for extra experience.

| Yep I'd keep Bruno and Jerry in, they've both been playing well recently and its pointless dropping them for the sake of it - let them keep going and improving - as for Brett, difficult one as he is too good to not be playing but Grix has covered well for him so its a hard one to call really.

| i think if lolesi is fit then he will drop Mcgillivary put leroy on the wing to cover richards height and then put lolesi in the centres then normal changes with our forwards returning and probs brett they say never change a winning team but against this wigan side i think some changes have to be made

I know hes new and raw! But McGillivary has impressed me when Ive watched him live! His work rate is good and he can defend! I would leave him in the side!!

| dont get me wrong i like mcgillivary i think his a good young winger that will get better but we did the same thing against leeds we dropped mcgillivary im guessing as he lack of experience in big games so im guessing NB will just do the same againts wigan. i can see mcgillivary being a permanent winger next season but for this season i think he will stick with regular players against the bigger teams
