| tough game, can we finally get a win there?
we came so close to doing a double over them last year but as is usually the case with us, stupid errors and bad game management let us down, so we know we can compete with them.
the players and coaches say it's not a mental thing but i'm not so sure.
would be nice to see a few over there after 3 straight wins, an hour on the train so no excuses that people can't get there etc

| Warrington is one of the few away games I usually make each and gutted I can't go this time.
I think there is no doubt we can go there and win if we put a 70 to 80 minute performance together and our confidence must be up. But I must admit I kind of look at the Warrington games and almost take them out the equation of form as I just assume even when we play well against them they'll find some way to win or more likely we'll find some way to lose!

| I'm the same i love Wire away but i always go there expecting nothing and if we do it makes it even better. I'm not one of these that looks at form and thinks we should be winning this and then gets disappointed when we don't, certainly not at Warrington anyway.
Cracking away trip on the train...get yersens over there!

| Yes we're improving game by game but it's the, dumb plays, losing too much possession, giving away silly pens and switching off for periods of the game which needs sorting, the good teams will make us pay if we don't sort it soon. The slump in performances started at the back end of last season and unfortunately continued into the start of this. The defence has improved vastly over the past few games and the forwards are now showing a bit of form, as are our backs, but let's face it, it wasn't the losses that frustrated fans it was the the teams overall performances that puzzled fans. Our performances in the playoffs and the Hull game were woefull and although we didn't exactly set the world alight against Wigan and Lids, we were our own worst enemies and put in right Jekyll and Hyde performances, we managed to lose games we could have won if we'd have showed a bit more concentration and played a bit smarter. Broughies rattle throwing and our need to give away silly penalties cost us dearly in both games. We've slowly improved as the season has progressed, but we need to cut out the crazy plays, lapses in concentration etc etc and continue this improvement if we're to finish top 4. It's also good to see the team spirit (we're all in together) attitude return, early season it looked like we'd adapted a "every man for himself" one. This weekend we face a very strong test at Warrington but I'm far more confident of getting a result than I was 2/3 weeks since. 2pts there would be great, and we're more than capable of getting them, but I'm not holding my breath, Tony Smith seems to have our cards marked, but another improved performance and a narrow defeat wouldn't be the end of the world.

| I hope we treat this game like a grand final and get that damn monkey off our backs. Some players will more than likely be rested the week after for Easter in both games so I hope we go all out.
However much we always lose Im always confident we can grab a win every year, and this year is no different.
I wish we had home advantage while we are high on confidence.
Our squads aren't that much different. Penny seems to be doing well as does Russle but I think we can take them on the wings.. We have the forwards to match there's and in my opinion, better kicking options.
I hope we can try role them back and pin them down.
To win this we need to control our disapline and start strong. Time to show SL we are the top 4 team we have been recently and no restructure is going to change that. COYG!

| I cant believe smiths comments this week about the game last week - moaning about the hamstring injury to Evans. It was a nasty injury but I don't think caused by dirty play, but he says ,
“So far we’ve got no rules in place to protect our players. We protect them from some high tackles at times," (as long as its not from you lads eh - just ask jerry!) "but leg-lifting and particularly single leg-lifting is a really unnecessary style." so we can expect no leg lifting then on Friday,..........
never heard such a bunch of two faced double standard based tosh in my life!!
Im not expecting a win - We aren't playing too well in attack and they have home advantage. but im not ruling it out either!!!

Hopefully we can use this to our advantage. I think way too much about things, but usually a coachs comments are infectious with the fans.
If we keep our heads screwed on and play safe to the rules giving the ref little to complain about, we can get on top.
Before you know it the frustrated fans will be booing for penalties. (The ref is usually the first person to blame)
And as we've all seen before when a crowd gets agitated then so do the players.
Win, lose or draw I'd be very happy to see our biggest effort in disapline this week. I think it's our biggest downfall in games.

| We drew last year !!
Our problem at wire in the past has been our forwards have shat themselves up against the likes of Morley, Carvell, Hill, Westwood etc, we have a history of being steamrollered by them. Our halfbacks are better than theirs but can't do anything behind a pack that a re frightened to death - hopefully last year's effort will prove to our boys that we can actually compete with them !

| Don't expect any points from this but will be a good sign of how we measure up against one of the best sides so far this year!
I now feel that we have the pack to match wires, and if the lads can work hard for each other like they did against Cas in defence then we could cause a world of problems for them.
Ball retention and a decent kicking game. Throw in some one off stuff from brough Ellis wood robbo and we could come away with something!

| Just a quick note to those who usually drive over or don't fancy driving, there's a direct train to Warrington from Huddersfield at half past every hour that takes an hour and the station is literally 100 yards from the ground. if you are in a rush the latest one at 6.30 would still get you there in plenty of time for kick off !!.
Just putting this up as i know loads of people who said if i can get there i would but dont finish work till 5/6 o clock etc..so you can still go to the ball

| Slight random fact folks. My username came from my little lad shouting run Leroy run , when He took that interception, and ran the length of the field to give us that great moment.
I can still remember the way brownie was punching the air too - makes me smile - good memories.

| I thought the following to Wire two years ago was class too, in the playoffs. Dale Fergerson scoring that try that gave us a look in for a win was immense! With everyone with the scarves up for take my hand! Bloomin brilliant night, shame we couldn't get the win.
