Jesus, Eddie Hemmings absolutely DESPISES Fartown! What a clown. Fartown were the better team for 65 mins by a long way. However, they only won due to the Saints injury list, according to Mr. Grecian 2000.

To me, it seemed that all the Saints tries came from Huddersfield errors too. If Fartown can concentrate for the full 80 they have a genuine tilt at a trophy this season.

Watching it back at 11pm, Eddie wasnt that bad was he? Oh and what a pass from cudjoe.

I'm afraid he was...he really irks me. Clarke and Barrie McD gave Fartown plenty of fair credit, even Stevo acknowledged a generally good Giants performance.

But Hemmings? No, he may have said the odd favourable comment about Fartown but it was all about "injury hit Saints".

Have seen almost the exact same pass several times over recent weeks . Think it happened maybe twice or thrice in Wire v Cas match .

Great performance from Fartown. The highlights for me were the Brough try and Cudjoe's exquisite pass for Lawrence. I'm not looking forward to our annual thumping when we visit in July.

Good performance in parts from you guys. I thought the tactic of hammering it dead constantly in the first half was genius by Brown. It tired us out and led to the run of tries in the second half.

Your left side did well and scored a few good tries but I don't think Brown will be happy with a lot of the stuff that went on for long periods of the game. There was some very sloppy rugby player and at times it became very messy.

I thought your pack did well. Coping with Saints backrow of Gardner, Hale and Mackinson took some doing

saints will always put a good side out, even with injuries. the previous poster has highlighted the side saints had put out and there are no excuses.
hudds were by far the better side-brough outstanding. as we `wire' have found out hudds are a quality side. that result at leeds 38-6 or something
shows they can play. they have beaten wire,saints and leeds convincingly.

Just watched it back on sky, what was a brilliant display in the round from the giants was indeed tempered by hemmings and his obsession with the saints injury crisis, mentioned by him no less than 15 times! What a moron, a broken record. Not balanced at all, 10 out for saints he reckoned, not one mention of the 4 first choice forwards out for us or any real credit for the local youngsters on the park, one kiwi and 16 English lads. Well done fartown.

What we do need to do is be more consistent, losing games to Crusaders and narrowly beating Batley for example.

Offensively we have messed up too many good chances, especially first half yesterday which may have cost us the game had Saints been able to exploit an opportunity at 12-6. We messed up some great chances at Catalan, 3-4 line breaks and failed to score in any of them.

Put that right and we would and should be out of sight by now.

Completely agree that eddie could have positively ranting about this fact rather than depleted saints. And Comparing our british team to wires and Wigan starters this weekend

He could, but our depleted team was a real factor in the match and one which made a difference. And we lost three players during the match. Don't you think that impacted the quality of the game? Or do you think Saints are so superb that they can produce 19 year olds who will play like Jonathan Thurston?

All very well, but Wilkin was playing in the halves to compensate for the injuries we have at half back, which left us short up front. That meant Gardner had to play in the back row to cover and we had to play another youngster on the wing (who also got injured - Makinson). We also lost Perry during the game, leaving us even shorter up front.

Having said that Huddersfield dominated the game and played very well. You scored some very good long range tries and looked like a top team. Full credit to you, you were impressive.

You'd think though after all the years of success and financial gain that a mighty club like St Helens could produce a string of youngsters good enough to at least challenge one such as ours with NO success and very little financial gain.....of course they can but they're all injured and Saints had to play with only 11 internationals yesterday and 6 12 year olds from the local school !!



Whatever team they put out yesterday we would have still beat them so it matters not who was out !
