| We should go into this game with a lot of confidence- and hopefully some experienced players back.
From our last 8 league games we've lost one against Wigan (our previous loss was to saints in April) drawn two, won 5.
With our experience of training on the 3G pitch at Leeds road the surface at Widnes shouldn't phase us at all- but Widnes with their partisan crowd do well at home.
If Brough continues to do what he does with the boot so well we should win this- especially if we can keep tabs on brown. the fast hard pitch will suit us, and our big pack should make lots of ground. They will need to go into this confident but not cocky -a full 80 minutes.

| hard to say how we will go over there, it's a tricky place to get a result, we have tended to struggle a bit on that pitch.
i would be tempted to stick with the same team as last week and not risk the players coming back from injury.

| Do we really need the experienced players back ? I think the ones who have stepped in are doing fine at the moment ....i would leave them in till the others are properly 100% ready and raring to go....give these young uns a message that if they play well they will stick around.
Always a difficult place to go though, they are a damn good side at home and we will need to be very good to beat them !

| Trust you all enjoyed last Sunday’s game. The support was excellent – let’s duplicate it at Widnes. Remember to [url=https://www.eticketing.co.uk/huddersfieldgiants/details/event.aspx?itemref=3996buy your tickets[/url from the Giants – usually cheaper plus the club gets 10%.

| I will be there. Used to get to virtually every away game. However work commitments mean I can only get to sunday games meaning this is only my second away game of the year after Wakefield so really looking forward to it.

| I would name an unchanged side. Week off after for the cup so I expect us to go all out presuming we'll have an extra couple of days off or a couple of days lighter training. Hopefully Betts will rest 2-3 of his star players for next week and make our job slightly easier.

| so out of the 19 named, would you go with the same 17 v warrington or would you be tempted to throw leroy and brett straight back in?
wouldn't surprise me to see fairbank miss out for one of them and possibly connor too

| 4/9 Giants
2/1 Widnes
Same odds for Widnes as Cas were last night, would not touch us at those odds and if you could get Widnes at home at that price week in week out you would be raking it in. They say bookies rarely get it wrong which of course is rubbish but for once let's hope they have it spot on.

| And talking of betting good luck to Millwards Davy in the Greyhound Derby semi final tomorrow, doubt he was named after Ken but done brilliantly to get so far against all the odds so the connection is apt.

I'd put leroy back in. One game then he gets a rest. Connor hasn't performed as well as I'd hoped and leroy is stronger defensively. Widnes have injury problems in their backs and experience could exploit that.

| While would like to see Ferres at loose forward in future I would wait till next game and not rush him back. I think Fairbank should play again this week his performance deserves it and PA has to stick by what he has said about performance earning places.

| On balance, given his injuries I'd let Bret rest up another week - Leroy I'd put back in the side and definitely play Fairbank

Would have ferres at loose and as captain. He is deadly on the left spot in attack. Runs a good arc and loves the one arm off load. However at 13 he can be one the left right or centre channel. This added freedom makes him a much more difficult player to stop. You can't say watch ferres on there left as he can pop up anywhere. Also he is fierce tackler and doesn't miss many. On top of that he has a bit of niggle and doesn't go hiding! Leading from the front is exactly where I would have him!

| Don't get to many away games nowadays, listened on Radio Merseyside, oh dear, Ray French commentary was abysmal, still haven't got a clue what the offence was concerning Brett, it seemed to take an age after the offence before the culprit had been identified by the former St Helens leg end. And trying to understand how the flow of the game was going was nigh on impossible. Used to be bad enough when he commentated on the tv games, when at least his waffle could be ignored and the pictures told the story, about the only thing that made any sense was how well the Giants had dug in deep especially in defence playing with 12 men

| Widnes fan here!
First and foremost well done on the win!
A dire game, which was aided by the referee letting the play the ball become a disgrace.
Two poor teams on show in my view on. All 4 half backs on the field were poor and created nothing all day, the tries were all poor ones from both teams.
Thought your character and game management was second to none. You won the game in the first half by not letting us in. You can see why you're the best defensive side in the division.
One last point, why were you booing Rhys Hanbury throughout the 42 minutes he played and a small number of fans clapping Brett Ferres off? It was a disgraceful incident, which left Rhys with a constant stream of blood pouring from his nose and coming off with concussion 42 minutes in and will probably miss next weeks game due to the concussion rule.
See you next season!

| Probably because Hanbury did something to deserve being punched that the ref missed
He might have some niggle but Ferres isn't one to swing a punch without provocation
