Being from "Ull" has nothing to do with it, Agar does have his favourites though.
Thorman has never been that good a player and has only played well twice this year and the rest has ranged from poor to under 9's standard. His performance away at Leeds this year ranks as the worst individual performance by a player I've ever seen, and being a "Ull" fan I've seen a few
'"
if thorman has never been that good then how come one of the top aussie sides saw fit to take him halfway round the world to play for them, how come he represented, sorry, captained yorkshire in a trial match for test spots and how come he was on the verge of international honours?
i think harlequins and giants fans have both been blessed in seeing the best chris thorman had to offer, hull haven't, thats down to the situation thorman has found himself in the last 12 months
Quote="Nephilim"I feel sorry for him because he doesn't seem to accept that he's just not up to the task. As a professional sportsperson you have to be able to handle pressure and he admitted himself after the 2006 challenge cup final that nerves got the better of him

He may be a trier and a decent bloke but he seems incapable of performing under pressure which happens to be the nature of his job.'"
Thorman has played in pressure games before and come through with great credit. He's won us games in the past and has been outstanding.
He's a shadow of his former self at the moment for sure but to infer he's not up to the pressure is total tripe. Some people have short memories or don't watch many games that they then see fit to pass judgement on.

Is there any wonder, playing with that rubbish week in week out.

An informed opinion. Thorman Im sure would hope that given the opportunity to improve his current form...with ULL mmm not too sure about that. Possibly another club who recognises he does have the skills to perform at SL level and that he is a "Team Member" if he is encouraged to be by those around him. Plus he offers so much enthusiasm & leadership. But this may be a tall order for a club/supporters to give him a chance to shine elsewhere without showing bias or verbal attacks on a continual basis.
