Hope he is a useful winger who can also tackle. Nearly every match (Hunslet excepted) we seem to ship tries on (usually) the right wing. Should have kept Keighley to six points max yesterday. All tries scored aga

inst our right wing.

We currently have 2 out right wingers so hardly surprising we've added some extra cover in that area at least when Higson is back if centre's/wingers don't perform we could drop either the left or right backs.

Very True that Alan , the time i saw Joe play he was very tall , but on the thin side , hopefully he has put a bit of weight on , cant fault his speed , or courage , could be good signing , we could sell Ginger Wigs

I was just asking the question, creating a debate, maybe an alternative to put Pownall at FB if any injuries in the halves or to McNally occur. Obviously only Maden and Pownall are out and out wingers, but Gardner can cover there. It's good to have as many bodies as possible. He'll probably play for the reserves until Maden or Pownall are injured but that's very rare. They're both made of stone.
