Did ok in defence but felt a bit sorry for him as he was moving all over the place looking for the ball, as they seemed to be missing him out when passing............think he just wanted to get the ball so he could show what he can do.

Re standoff if you have given up on Ridyard and nothing is announced this week, we have to look at our current squad. When Grix played fullback for us and we had Forber as stand off I suggested Grix. He is doing ok in Nonrelegation League.



So thinking outside the box I think we could try Donlan or Stanton or my choice.......................begins with the letter H and second letter is a vowel 3rd is a g but 4th isn,t.

Stanton could be worth a shot at stand off......believe he played there a few times for Wigan reserves last season.

Smacks of desperation to me, Stanton is a winger who does well at dummy half when bringing the ball out of our red zone. We need another pivot with a decent kicking game (both long and short), a decent pair of hands and good foot work. The problem is if we find such an individual we will lose him in a heart be to a superleague club unless we are prepared to go down the route of Halifax bankrupt the club. Get in the real world Leythers, we are no a mid table NL1 club until someone steps forward with the funds to help out our Chairman.

Don't think he's injured, it seems more that we have 'given up on him.' I think the initial plan was too play him in the reserves for a year and move him next year, but due to the Blaney deal falling through he had to be thrown in the deep end.

Let's keep playing him then.

He's a stand off and he'll never improve sat on the bench. We are the best team in RL at putting square pegs in round holes, why do we keep doing it every season?

Fair enough if we've got another stand off to play there but clearly we haven't unless we decide to play Marsh as he's the only other guy with any real experience in that position.

We knew we needed a stand off at the end of last season so it criminal that this hasn't been addressed.

I don't know I haven't seen who else is out there to be honest.

However if Heremaia is one of the best scrum halves you've seen at Leigh I'd suggest you've not been watching us that long.

Oh and like you said "scrum half", not "stand off".
