Just a quick run down of last nights meeting;



IT was attended by Neil Kelly , Stuart Donlan and Phil Coffey

Neil spoke about current status about the squad, injuries and why players that arent injured are playing and arent playing.

He hoping barring any new injuries to have a fully fit squad to choose from for Easter,

WE discussed fund raising events in the pipeline, and Neil Kelly challenge LISA to a Quiz Night against him and the players.

WE watched FReds DVDs that he did to promote LISA travel, which are on YOU TUBE and on the LISA website.

LISA TRavel I told everyone how it was going and KEV O'Donnell spoke to everyone about the deal hes made with the club on behalf of LISA for LISA members. THe deal is that for every away coach the club will give us 2 tickets for the next home game to raffle off, wth them come free entry to the Legends bar before and after the game and entry to the man of the match presentation.

Oh and one member who shall be nameless managed to ask the same questions twice in the same night.

I thought the raffle on the coach was for everyone Lynda , not just LISA members ?

It is I didnt mean that it was just for LISA members. It is only available though on the LISA coach or is it not?
Im confused now.

What I mean to say was that the club are giving us the tickets to raffle off on the coach to away matches. Very Sorry, I worded it wrong.

To me, it seems incredible that the coach is willing to confide details to the LISA meeting, but not the rest of the supporters. (i.e. the majority!) Presumably, LISA is not paying Aaron's salary? Therefore, in many ways, the rest of the supporters are entitled to know where their money is going?

During my time working at the Club, I've heard/been told many 'confidential' things, and I wouldn't dream of passing them on - not even to a LISA meeting.

One of the reasons I quit LISA, was that I sensed that a feeling seemed to be growing, that LISA was an 'elite body', to be placed above the rest of the club's support. This kind of thing seems to support that view!

I'm not a LISA member yet Alan, but I would have some sense of pride knowing that I was contributing a bit more than the regular fan. I said this earlier that I truely hope it has nothing to do with his or a member of his famillies health and if it is it should not be posted on here untill the club or Aaron has it done first.

It isnt confidential but its a personal matter of the players therefore if he wanted to post it on here that would be up to him or, he obviously doesnt so.....
nothing to do with elitism Alan just plain old fashioned courtesy I would have no problem relating it to you or anyone but not on a public message board, its hardly a secret.

i'm confused, i am a lisa member, but could not go to the meeting last night. aaron smith, waas the reason given out at the meeting why he was not in the team, if it was given out at the meeting why has nobody posted it on this mb. elitiest alan, do me a favour, any sod can get into a lisa meeting these days

Sorry if I am being a bit thick here, but I can't understand why something that has been announced at what is in esscence a public meeting (i.e anyone can attend}cannot be posted on a public forum.

It cannot any longer be a secret so why cannot it be posted? If it is a private matter surely it shouldn't have been announced at the LISA meeting

Of course, you would be right to be proud of doing something else for the Club. I chose to do it another way, which costs me far more than a fiver a month.

I too hope that all is well with Aaron, (or any other player) and his family. If that is not the case, it shouldn't have been divulged to a LISA meeting.

I work at the place, and I don't know what the situation is. Neither do the other half dozen supporters, who have asked me. If NK doesn't want those people to know, that's up to him, as indeed it was with previous coaches who obviously 'signed the Official Secrets Act'.

Look all Ill say is Neil didnt exactly give us all the nitty gritty just that Aaron isnt injured and he has personal problems at the moment. I didnt think it was mine or anyone elses business and I cant really understand all the fuss.
AS Wolrab said the LISA meetings have been open meetings now for some time.
LISA, LIFELINE, THe Fund Raising Committee all do a lot for the club and in return the club help us, we dont try and seek preferences or expect things for nothing.
After all being a member is all about helping YOUR CLUB. IF you Alan or anyone else dont want to be a member for whatever reason then thats your choice.
I didnt think it was right a LISA member felt as though they were being forced to put details of Aarons circumstances on here. It all started with an innocent question on the status of injuries and Aaron was mentioned. Now if it was a secret I doubt Neil actually coming out with it at a LISA meeting.
