An excellent signing IF he recovers 100% from his injury/operation as we know he's quick,strong & a good tackler just what we need out wide & versitile too. I persume Littler will cover centre until AJ is fit then move to back row as I can't see Higson being played in't back row unless we're injury ravaged or resting players. It is a bit of a gamble because of the nature of his injury so I hope he's on pay as you play but either way welcome back Adam Higson

Well i really hope it works out, but i have my doubts, wish we could of ßigned a player who îs fit NOW not in april. Hope his contract is watertight. But time will tell, if it had been my choice i would not of signed him, but it wasnt so we have signed him, prive me wrong adam, just like rowley has over last 12 months.

The Watcher is reluctant to welcome Higson back after the way he jumped ship so quickly last year.

I was disappointed when he left or as you put it jumped ship so I can understand you being a little bit reluctant but give him as chance mate he's got alot to give to our team. I'm sure when he gets fit & stays fit he'll prove some of his doubters wrong but personally I'm happy Higson's back & I'm sure some of his doubters will be too once he's back on the pitch & performing in a Leyth shirt.

Have to say, I'm somewhat underwhelmed by this signing.

I know Millward wasn't a big fan of his and I'm afraid to say I think I'd have to agree with him on this one. I think he's over-rated on these boards because of the fact he's a local lad - if he spoke with a Yorkshire accent then I think people would have been less upset to see him leave in the first place IMHO. People say he's 'versatile' but I would argue that it's because he isn't particularly outstanding in one position - he's average wherever he plays.

I'll give him a chance, of course, and I hope he proves me wrong but he's going to have to be a huge improvement on the player we saw the season before last.

Whatever club Basil is coach off he always has a downer on one or more players and I did hear he wasn't a big fan of AJ.

I am in the school that thinks AJ has great potential if he stays fit and' I too am glad he's back.

I've never met the lad he could be from mars for all I care & I'd still back the lad at the end of the day he's going to be wearing our shirt for that reason alone they get my backing.

Maybe he needed to guarantee his income with the situation that the club were in at the time?

Depending on individuals getting paid for rugby may get the individual more money playing than their secondary job especailly if it's not a 40 hour one & as Jonny says we don't know peoples circumstances so don't judge!

Welcome back AJ. Hopefully he will get a decent injury free spell once he recovers from his op and really shows what he can do. Always shown promise but never been able to cement a spot for any length of time due to competition for places and/or injuries. I think Littler and Gardner will still be 1st choice centres though.
