As I see it Wigan MBC (as it was then) made staying at HP impossible doing it by various methods like reducing the safety certificate to less than 1000, isolating it physically by putting a fence up like they have now I apologise if this isn't how it went but I remember something being said along these lines at a LISA meeting some years ago and old age is catching up with my memory

Well the council own the Leigh East land , and they made it quite clear if we didn't agree to move to the new stadium , the council would erect a fence where that fence is , the sum total of that fence would have been the reduction of the capacity of Hilton Park to 1,000 due to Health and Safety

So tell me now what the board of directors should have done ?

I also seem to get the impression that planning permission is more forthcoming for the East site than what Miller(?) Homes faced with the HP site. But that's all another topic for another day IMHO.

A few seasons ago, when S/T holders were allowed to pay by D/D, I think there were a maximum of 20 doing so. We had problems with at least half of those D/D's. There were two reasons for the problems. People cancelled the D/D, or the bank messed it up - i.e. the money was taken out of the S/T holder account, and paid to someone other than Sporting Club Leigh, even though the D/D instruction was typed!

Yes, the D/D's would need monitoring, but I would fully expect a member of the PSG to do it - for nothing.

Key is to start DD early and issue ST in two parts, thus always paid more than watched.

1. I've never had a d/d go wrong in over 40 years
2. with computers being used I cannot see why it would take a full time job to monitor the situation, if it did then how does the club's lottery survive given the number of d/d's they have
3.Get it started asap as even 100 members at £25 pm will produce £30k pa, giving a £10k profit even ignoring the profit on the shirts.

If you don't want to join then don't but don't make negative posts as it does not help the club.

Sometimes people find problems were there are non and if they cant find a problem then "quite bizzarley" they make them up.

Assuming we will have 13 home games next season like this, then the actual cost at £14 (North Stand) is £182. So I think selling these at £150 is a good price. In fact I'd go one further and put admission prices up a quid making them even better value. A better incentive to get a ST and extra revenue on ticket sales for non ST tickets.

i might have miss heard this but at the lisa meeting i think it was mentioned that prices will go up by at least a pound a game,quite right to IMO.

No matter the price I will buy mine. If we charge 150 we will loose money. 125 at a push, what you have to remember is family's go to the game. 2 adult season tickets poss a kid around Christmas is rather expensive

do us a favour ste have a look at what all the other champ clubs are charging,from experiance i think most other clubs charge more than us for walk up on the day prices?.

Thats why we must offer great family packages instead of stupid free tickets and bring concessions with into line with reality.
