| Quote ="Nozzy"I think everyone on that list is likely to still be available in 4 or 5 months time.
So why not give Jukesy the chance to show what he can do. He has been with the club while this squad has been assembled. He knows where each player is at in terms of fitness, skill and application. He would keep the continuity going at a club that is on the rise.
If it isn't working out come May we can revisit with plenty of time left ahead of the 8's.'"
Although your statement is correct.I just feel a standard has been created at Leigh that involves publicity.
I voted "other" as none on the list will carry a media attraction.

James Webster, to put it simply - you would have to be mental.
Bobby Goulding, just No, No, No.
I would go for either Jukes in the short term ...
Purtill or Marshall.
I haven't voted yet but I am inclined towards Jukes for stability.
Are there any rated Aussie or Kiwi coaches out there & available ? & would they come ?
I think the Club need to either appoint Neil or get it out there that they are looking for a top level coach worldwide.

| I voted Purtill. Lives in Leigh and a regular at our home games. Played for the club. Respected by his peers. Understands what the fans want to see. Has been coaching top level SL players for ten years. Ready for the step up to being head coach.

| Depends what type of coach we want.
A coach who makes his own decisions and not have any interference from the owner - or a coach who will be a puppet for the owner.
Koukash has learnt over the last few months, if you employ a coach, let him do his job, he is the expert. Having copious amounts of money (and not being afraid to let people know that) doesn;t mean you know how a rugby team plays/works. Even a coach who takes example from the owner - one of these has just copped a touchline ban for his mouth to officials
Perhaps this was why Rowely has resigned....too much interference from the owner???
All hail the owner?????? Get a bloomin life!
I'd go for Purtill - but for his sake, just hope he isn't puppeted as it could mess his whole career - which at the moment he looks to be well respected in Rugby League.
Oh and if Rowely's reason was for the interference from above......good on him, he has just gone up in my estimation.

A lot of people seem to be giving DB a kicking over Rowleys resignation. It has nothing to do with his relationship with the owner, it is an external influence that has caused this and there is no coming back from it. Let's move on from this and get behind the owner, team and new coach. There is no need to dig up any dirt.

If PR has resigned due to being puppeted by DB, then factual clarification is required. If not, then it's nothing other than an assumption. FWIW - I would leave the coaching staff as it is for now.

I don't think so. I think MK got too involved because things weren't' going to plan and he's since realised he was making things worse. I think he has confidence in Sheen's and he's stepped back. As has been said many times, an owner should be seen but not heard when it comes to team matters. An owner has a place and it's not on a training ground or in a dressing room. Other than after a game to congratulate the team after a good win.

| A very difficult decision. We'd want someone as similar to Rowley as possible so if Jukes feels confident, A few times Paul stepped back for a week to give Jukes a go as head coach (I remember last year a few people thinking I was daft when I suggested after we'd got the top spot Paul should let Jukes have a go for those last 3/4 games in the space of 2 weeks to give him some experience). Ideally though if Jukes is in charge it'd be good to bring someone in as assistant to act as a mentor for him. Basil could be good as a mentor, he produced Rowley & Turzis the two best coaches I've ever seen at Leigh (since 1997); wouldn't want Basil as head coach, man management will be key this year and Basil isn't good at that, players either buy into what he's trying to do like at Leigh & Saints or don't like at w!g@n & Cas where it all went wrong, with some players we have it could all go badly wrong if they don't like the coach.
Don't really know enough about some of the SL reserve and academy coaches to have a proper opinion.
Now Rowley has gone Fax fans are right in thinking Marshall is the best coach in the Championship, would be good but with Fax getting a lot of money & not spending much of it I doubt they'll even let us speak to him. Always rated Morrison at Dewsbury, they've improved every year he's been in charge, been steadily building there just as Paul was here. Rowley always seemed to rate Paul Crarey up at Barrow, could be one to consider. Like John Kear at Batley but despite having a lot of success years ago now I think with his style he prefers to be the underdog, at Batley & Wakefield before that he always had teams in a relegation battle but you'd never go down with him in charge.
Don't want Brien Noble, he's been out of the game for far too long, said that when he went to Salford, finished coaching at Crusaders in 2010 had 1 year at Salford where he was out of his depth in 2014 then done nothing since. McNamara is too by the numbers, the players wanted to play Paul's free attacking style, McNamara at England was 70 min of 5 drives and a kick with 10 min in there somewhere doing just enough to win. Plus Hock & Rangi have said they'd never play for him again. Harris again all the ex-Salford players can't stand, plus he's not much good, did nothing at Salford, took Wales from being one of the best in Europe to their disastrous World Cup run. Webster's entire coaching career consists of being awful at Wakefield. I've also seen Karl Harrison mentioned
Difficult decisions for the board, wouldn't like to be them.
