Well I don,t like complaining but I think the pitch is too long and I feel the club should provide binoculars for those of us who are concessionary season ticket holders.

Also the hot water in the toilets is too hot and the roof over it is unsanitary.

Apart from that and a few other things I honestly prefer the LSV to HP.

Do not drink keg beer
Do not need a crust encased savoury, generally have big breaky first then pre match cask beer
Do not generally have a brew, I take my own Irn Bru (medicinal purposes)

Do buy half time draw ticket.

Do think the LSV ground is excellent, to quote my chum Bob “I never thought we would be watching Leigh in a ground like this” all we thought would at most be a cantilever over the Railway end at Hilton Park.

On the away crowd front, I think they should be allowed into the South Stand, then again which teams will bring enough to warrant opening the stand, Widnes?

As for the toilets, it can’t be right having a roof, hot water, dry floor (almost), functioning traps and worst of all toilet paper, strooth

Only gripe is wbgqn’s council moniker on the score board and front of stadium.

No atmosphere? Only difference with Kirkall Lane is you cant walk round at half time - the railway end was almost empty in the second half when Leigh attacked Glebe St end.
Suggest LSV look at moving the stewards round at half-time so we can stand behind the end we are attacking - or against Batley not defending!

because of WYSIWYG's post, I now love the new ground. It's not an 'overpriced' concrete morgue, where a RL team consisting of local 'talent' triallists, ex amateurs, and a few 'has beens' play, in a League, where you can only get relegated from !!!

I had a word with James Ditchfield (no2 at LSV stadium) and they are in negotiations with the Centurions and others on various matters and things should start to happen soon, but like he pointed out these things take time and planning something that was in short supply due to the quick takeover of the stadium and the large snag list they were left with.

What a load of tosh, The stadium was 6mths late, The LSV Management have been in post since Nov 08. i think 12months would be more than ample time to listen to the needs of the Centurions. I find it incredible that LRLFC have only limited access to the stadium, As you say Fred every game is a away fixture.The LSV are a management company set up to do just that (manage). My interpretation of this would be Leigh Centurions tell them what they require and LSV manage them. It appears to me that its the other way round LSV tell Centurions what they want and Centurions have to manage. Rant Over

I actually think this is the most optimistic post for a long time!

Sorry you dont like the reply I had no control over them only the questions/problems I (and they) raised, but the LSV company tell me that no one has contacted them 'officially' up to recently (I would suggest a companies recently is far longer than an individuals recently, by the way though no time frame was given to me) about most of the issuses raised here and on going negotiations are continuing, its actually not been six months since the contracts were exchanged (dunno where the 12 months came from ?) on the stadium, and they (the LSV) are always willing to 'listen' to any ideas.
I for one am more optimistic since my short chat with James and await further developments, if things dont change then I will be in their (LSV and LC) face again, but dont shoot the messenger I got off my backside and asked, and most of the points raised -beer, food, bars- are things I wouldn't use anyway, my 'gripe' with the LSV has been resolved some weeks ago, at MY expense I add (I bought and provided them with a long extension lead and a circuit breaker so got my eleccy for match days

Well, there was nowt up with the atmosphere of the place at the LGFC game tonight, though god only knows how 348 people can create more atmosphere than another 1,500+ on top of that

Went to watch Genesis for the first time. Only half of West stand used which made it feel like a much bigger crowd. Constant singing and chanting by a group created the best atmosphere I have experienced on that ground so far and I go to all centurions matches. Was like HP of 3 years ago.

Just can't understand why there can be such a good atmosphere with so few at a football game, yet you can hear from the referee from the North Stand when he's stood 20m away from the South Stand
