Doubt Ryan is going anywhere; he's signed up at Leigh, seems to be enjoying his time at Leigh, developing and improving all the time at Leigh & has a pathway into Super League at Leigh. Why would he go to another club to either be sent out on dual code or end up playing Leigh in the Qualifier Super 8? He's definitely going nowhere though if Leeds are approaching him directly like they did with Sam Barlow, presume Ryan will have told Leigh he was contacted and been told “Well we don’t do business like that.” and someone has turned that into a “Leigh turn down transfer request!” non- story. I'm not worried he's leaving or even wants to.

We can only speculate regarding Ryan and his future, but the facts seem to be he scored 36 Try's last season in the league, he attracted significant media attention, he had a good game v Leeds after a shaky start, he had a great GF, he has terrifying pace, he has a great game awareness, he is quickly developing his passing and kicking game, he is a great lad who is down to earth and fits in well here.

Now the above will attract interest from those higher up the food chain but Ryan is on contract and imo the club would not want to lose a key halfback this close to such a critical season, so will not want to lose him now.

Ryan will have ambition to play SL, that could be with Leigh in 2016 so lets do our best to give our team such a lift from the terraces that we put ourselves in a great position to see Ryan pulling on a Leigh shirt in SL 2016 - we need to fill those stands and show this town wants a SL club.

If the lad has put in a transfer request and wants to talk to Leeds, and Leeds want to talk to him, it's going to happen, sorry Leigh fans but the chance to join argubly the biggest club in super league, any player would want to talk. Can't see him leaving Leigh for Salford, but leeds is a whole other kettle of fish.

I don't know if the lad wants to leave or not or if he has had requests rejected or not BUT what I do know is that we have a fantastic set of forwards and if they hadn't produced great performances game after game then Ryan wouldn't have scored the tries he has done. Why don't we put this to bed and talk about the players who have pinned their shirts to the mast for Leigh.

Which as far as most of us on here know includes Ryan.



FWIW my view is Ryan would be foolish to go at this stage, as Harold says he isn't SL level YET, continue under Rowley’s guidance for at least another season and then review it.

Leigh would also be foolish to let him go, they offered him a new 3yr contract when Salford’s Doctor was sniffing, and they've told the world he isn't available now when Leeds are rumoured to be at the door. With the RFL now opening the draw bridge to promotion, the BOM have made fantastic strides and have plans to try take that opportunity by going FT and making the club as great as it can be, they’ve asked the town to jump on the bus and back them on their journey the last thing Leigh need now is to sell the Sat Nav.

It's the off season Editors have to sell papers, coaches, agents, directors will all talk, meet up/bump into one another here there and everywhere, to see whose available, get that bit of gossip etc, what else are they doing?

Has I said last Thursday Ryan was in the room when Derek said that Ryan had turned down Salford and Leeds that week , can't see him standing there saying nothing if Derek was telling lies and he wants to go can you .

I do know one thing he will play SL one day I for one hope it's for us but if not I wish him the best for 100% effort every time he's worn our shirt

This is getting boring. Ryan said a month ago that he wasn't going anywhere. DB is working on extending his contract. If he does end up leaving, I'm sure Derek will get a substantial fee. There comes a point where another team offers far more money to Ryan than we can currently pay and if that's the case so be it. He has given his all for Leigh, while in our colours and that is all we can ask.

Well perhaps its a good job the player/club have turned down an offer from Leeds. Prevented them making a big mistake.

Hey MR M, I've watched it back several times and considering Ryan is going head to head with the England captain and the most decorated Leeds captain of all time I don't think he did to bad. All part of Ryan's development to be one of the best in the game.

As we saw twice after that Leeds game he ripped the Featherstone scrum half apart at Leigh and at Headingley!!

Ryan played his part in a fantastic team performance that evening at Headingley among some top quallity FT players. For me however one HB stood out head and shoulders above every other player that night Martyn Ridyard.
