I didn't say Heremaia wasn't a good player but there were many better than him since Murph. I'd add Bob Beardmore to that list as well actually.

I would n`t put him ahead of Varley,Ford,Beardmore,Johnson,Donohue but thats my opinion.

Heremaia was a quality player he could pass, tackle and kick (at times)

and more importantly he was a leader on the field and we just don't have one of those at the moment.

Lets hope that Ned has got two new players (Stand Off and Centre) lined up to come in, even if they are on load they would be a boost to the squad at the moment. However, things aren't looking up on the signings front due to cash restraints

Yet I seem to remember that when he was playing, we were crying out for a half back that could do these things.

Heremaia carried the team in his last year, he was paired with many different Stand Offs IIRC and in a team that was put together at the last minute he certainly did his part. Look at the original post, I know his kicking game wasn't top notch all of the time but when it was, he used it to good effect.

he never played a game for them just like he wont get near the NZ Warriors team at half back the have only signed him as a third choice hooker.

2nd tier rugby in NZ thats akin to playing Northwest counties open age over here, he was a good player for us in a below average team which doesn't say a great lot.

Reading some of the views of the NZ Warriors fans they want him in the first team and he was the 18th man in their last game I think. I don't know where you were in his last season for us but he carried us throughout the season and it could of been a lot worse had he not been here.

I,d happily have him back cos he was worth his place in the side and always gave 100%. I wasn,t best pleased when he was going to Widnes but sadly for him,after all it was his job, they went into administration.

For me he would have been a relevation at hooker but I,m like that. I always think I know better than coaches who should play where.

I can never understand why I was never appointed coach at Wigan. You have no idea what I could have done there.

Errr you can read I suppose? well just read my post again and see what was written not what you imagine was.

I would love Aaron back! the shortcomings in his game, ie the boot, is what watson excels in, it would allow him to sit back more and do what he's good at, leaving aaron to take the line on with his undoubted pace and footwork, not to mention a nifty hand off for a little fella. How many times did he single handedly drag us out of the S**T single handedly with a try from nothing or a big play?! The try away at whitehaven under the sticks after stepping through a tiny gap and shrugging a couple of challengers off comes to mind for me. Those who fail to rate heremaias contribution at 7 as being one of, if not THE best scrum-half since 71 are talking tripe.

Sorry not in the top 6 scrum halfs for Leigh since 71, had a good year with us and I would have him back but best since 71 ?????????
