I agree with Dewsbury coach talking about the lack of D/C's - presumably he was talking about us? No loan players either - Spencer didn't play.

The pitch was very heavy, which is possibly why PR went with Ryan Duffy at loose forward.

When clapping the lads off a Dewsbury fan said he didn't know why we were clapping them after a poor performance ! well, we had just kept Dewsbury scoreless for about 70 mins plus scored some very good tries so they definitely deserved to be clapped off IMHO .Wonder what he thought of his own teams performance .

When I saw Odonell on't bench I could see where Rowley was coming as Karl Pryce CAN be a handful on his day but how lazy is he seriously? He kicked the ball once & ran the ball in at around 75th minute when the game was done this guy is such a waster

I'm gutted that me and our Ol missed today. I've had to travel to Cardiff to start the third series of Sherlock and will probably miss a few more games before I finish at the end of May. I'm pleased as punch for you who went and the team. It is only a matter of time before the real side of this squad comes out and I think that we will be a match for Fev and Sheffield.

It was (around) 11 - 20 in our favour, I have not seen a more penalty ridden game, unusual as that ref is usually not a great penalty giver he normally lets the game flow, though the Dewsbury fans had us holding down and offside at EVERY tackle.

Mo you missed a very good team performance as did the other fans who couldnt make it , hopefully the fans will start to return on Thursday , i thought the Ref was generous with his ideas on High tackles as there was a fair few being handed out to our lads , ive never Bob Beswick get aggravated , but the Dews no 20 was really getting under his skin ,on a ploughed field of a pitch i thought we played very well .

I said Riddy would come good , he did , and Jonny Pownall took his try well , if Jonny had a bit more conviction in his own ability and went for the line , he will score many more tries .

A young player just come back from a broken jaw it takes a lot to get the confidence back, the lads doing Ok, we have not seen the best of JP he will be as good as he wants to be, he is one of the best back prospects we have had for some while.

Penalty count was 12-18 in our favour according to League Express.

Dewsbury conceded 5 in quick succession in the first half when we were pressing in their 20 metre area. They were mainly for holding down offside and ball stealing.

Some Dewsbury fans don't think their side are capable of any of that when playing an ordinary side like Leigh.



The reason we beat them convincingly was purely down to our players telling the referee what decisions to make (according to 1 Dewsbury fan on their message board) and the ref duly obligeing.

From what I saw the ref often reacted to the crowd giving a late decision to appease the Dewsbury fans

.... and those inconsiderate folk at Bradford taking their first team players back, to play in their first team!

The sooner we start shouting 'FORWARD' very loud, the better, preferably when the opposition pass the ball. Yeterday, I think there were only two forwad passes given in 80 minutes, obviously both against us. Now I thought they were forward, along with many more of our passes, which were enthusiastically spotted by Rams' fans, who didn't quite turn up the volume loud enough to attract the ref's attention.

What I find puzzling is that the opposition aren't being pulled for forward passes very often. Come on Leythers - louder please!!
