Congratulations to our new chairman. I have never met him but he seems passionate and knowledgeable about our club when I have seen him speak and well regarded in the Rugby community. He also seems like a really nice bloke  |

To be fair, in the 7 pages, only one person said they may want the team to lose didn't they ?
And yes you are entitled to your opinions ,I enjoy reading your views and all my fellow Leigh supporters views, regardless if I personally agree or not is irrelevant. It is your opinion
However, the topic of this thread was about Mike Latham , but you turned it in to an anti Beaumont thread. If you wish to post anything anti Beaumont then it is your prerogative to do so, but please start a new one rather than derailing this one. |

To be fair, in the 7 pages, only one person said they may want the team to lose didn't they ?

My point was in NO way questioning Mike Lathams attitude, skills , or ability ,all of which are 100% exemplary, I'm just saying as Chairman,what extra things he will bring to the Club,that he is not already bringing ?I'm disappointed because I was hoping a certain Palestinian horse racing enthusiast,might be tempted to join us
Mike Latham knowledge and the way he handles the Presentation evenings are perfect,probably can't be bettered,but I feel our Club would benefit greatly if we had another investor to help Derek.

I don’t know Mike Latham personally but he appears to be a great guy and speaks well so hopefully a good appointment, I wish him well.
I too as Charlie says would like to see another major investor, as although I have no axe to grind and I’m gratefully for what DB is doing, it is concerning that we appear to have all our eggs in one basket so to speak. And just like MK walking out at Salford where would it leave us if DB walked?

We all know that teams, coaches and owners come and go but it's the club that matters. Without Derek's financial input we would not be the club we have been since 2014 and I am sure you can recall the mess we were in prior when your beloved players hadn't been paid and a winding up order from hmrc was 48 hours away.
Derek owns the club, he puts considerable amounts of his money into the club which allows him the right to run it how he wishes, that's how a business that has a majority owner works. He doesn't need opposition in the boardroom he needs people he respects to quietly advise when requested or if they feel the need to, Allan did this previously but was paid to do so by Derek and Arthur before him - something I am sure Mike won't be.
Do I agree with everything Derek does or how he does it, certainly not but that doesn't stop me doing what I can when I can in support of the club I love. The alternative is the bitter and twisted agenda you seem to have, whilst either ignoring or being oblivious to the potential damage you could be doing to something you 'love' or is it just yesterday's players you have that emotion for who now ply their trade elsewhere |

Up the creek without a padfle glow. Without a doubt. But as long as we, as fans of the club keep on backing Derek, then it will keep him happy. Marwan could disrupt things to be honest cos he's as strong headed as our Degsy. But time would tell with that one. Lenegan at Pie land is Their main backer, but not many pie eaters like him. At least Dereks got personality and the best interest of the club at heart. So well done Derek. Congratulations Mike Latham and onward and upwards

More fans turning up wouldn't go amiss. And before folk start going on about the Toronto game, they should realise that everything is not always going to go our way all of the time. More folk turning up would help the club,not just financially, but player performance as well. As far as the Chairman is concerned, well, I'm not bothered really,but Mike seems a decent appointment, so that's fine by be.

No I didn't, everyone else did by immediately jumping on what i had to say rather than just moving on and posting their own well wishes. Jack Diggle brought Allan Rowley into the conversation so I was just responding to that. Also, those 7 pages are full of you and everyone else slagging 'your' players and 'your' coach off. Still, never let facts get in the way of creating a big fuss eh?

The answer was so you support the team, I would suggest fans support the club because that is the only fixed element to support - custodians on and off the pitch move on, wanting the best at any given moment is what fans do but I feel from your hatred of one man you would like the club to fail as a way of him moving on. This club has never had the financial investment it currently has and in todays game cash will dictate where a small club finishes, as a fan the ride is great and I cant wait for the 8's and 2019 in SL thanks to Dereks financial input |

Perhaps mish preferred the running of the club by the Mick Higgins band of brothers when the club was continuously in the mire. Personally. I think that, apart from a couple of errors along the way. Derek has been like a breath of fresh air to this great club. So you don't like the man mish. Yes wev'e all grasped that. Now get over yourself and enjoy the ride

I don't see anything wrong in people being challenged regardless of position. Just because they make the investment in the club doesn't give them the right to dictate. Second time around for DB and he's come back stronger,no disputing that.
The Club started off £1.2M in credit this season,granted the parachute payment £500k had to be spent on players. Did the Club actually make anything in the SL season which started at £1.8M in credit?
I've no doubt DB carries losses from his investment,and without it yes, the Club wouldn't be in the position it is today.
Hopefully you can answer my questions Mo. Dwelling in the past I don't do I'm afraid,I only know one way and thats forward as often the past has failed. |

When you own something you answer to yourself, surely you grasp that bit. You communicate with your customers, Derek does a lot of that which creates the culture but when it comes to the key decisions democracy with minions is not required. Anyone can challenge anyone legally I suppose, personally if they are irrelevant you ignore them as you end up getting nowhere appeasing fools |
